For all you guys that think M3's are faster then 06 gt's here it is. We raced from a Dig 4 times. The first two times i lanched on him and had more then a car till about 110. The third and fourth time i wheel hopped off the line where he was a head by a full car @ 50mph. I slowly reeled him in and around 100 i was back in front of him by a bumper and pulling. So there you have it Mustang Gt's can hang or beat M3(it was a SMG).

The SMG will hold a good driver back. If you beat the SMG version by that margin then the manual would probably SLOWLY!!! walk on you. So yes, M3's are still faster, oh, you were modded too. NONETHELESS!!! damn good kill!!!
actually launching smg is better then launching stick the only drawaback is no pwrshfting, but they dont trap higher then my car(106.7), so i dont think it would walk me.

I still have no idea how a tune and CAI added 6mph to a cars trap and why the ford drag-pack and power pack when tested only got the trap up to 103 or so. I think your car is a MAJOR exception to the rule or you are a god at powershifting and run it at E-town or something.

Unfortunately, there's lots of talk about cars beating the S197's, including 350Z, InfinityG35's, and I've even heard of some Camaro LT1 guys saying so. [sm=smiley20.gif]Way to go and represent the New edge!

SMG is BMW's semiautomatic transmission. I hope you knew this.

I knew they weren't that great... funny I had a newer M3 run in and it did nothing but flybyes... weak ones at that, I was getting worried that off the line I wouldn't be able to hang from how much BS was getting called on the video, but since I beat an 05 GT by a half a car a week or two ago... I have not a doubt in my mind that they are all talk
