ORIGINAL: Gone2 I replaced all four with the previous year models of theses. Do it, Do it, Do it. I chose these because of the low frequency response. I could see how the 6880's could be TOO high with 4 tweeters, these 3ways are just crisp enough. You can get them cheaper than crutchfield if you dont mind not getting the adapters and wiring them yourself. Pioneer TS-A6871R 6" x 8" 3-Way Speaker Well, now you guys have me considering this option. Just to clarify, you started with the stock Shaker 500 system? Did you leave the two front door subwoofers intact, or did you replace those as well? My inclination is to replace the four 6x8's like you did and leave the subs as-is. Are you pleased with the performance of that setup? Are you still using the original Shaker 500 head unit? Like CDW63, I just installed an Alpine CDA-9857.
