They are asking 25900 for the 03 that has 24000 miles on it. Do you guys have any suggestion on how to get a good deal. I would love to get 17000 out of my cobra but that probably won't happen. My car has 2000 in rims and 1200 in the exhuast and some other little stuff my car has 44000 on it.

$17,000 for your 01 Cobra from a dealership?

Your dreaming........

I'm guessing they will offer you $13,000 or so.. If that much.. Not to mention I think $26,000 for an 03 w/ 24k is too high.. I'd pass if I were you.. Or get your self a SC for about $5,000 and you'll be faster than an 03 Cobra..

I feel your pain Dweb. Because you have a trade in, negotiation are in the dealerships favor. I recommend you put her back to stock if possible because they usually dont take aftermarket parts into account. If you go to a good dealership, they will usually give you trade-in value. Go to KBB.com to get an estimate.

That is too much for an 03 Cobra. I got mine for $22,000 with 20,000 miles.

I just got back without seeing my car they said they could go 14500. I told him i couldn't do that then he told me if the car was there they could do something else. I think i'm in love that car is sweet. I love the sound of the supercharger. I had a 96 GT and I put a vortec supercharger on that i loved the sound of that one. They had a sale price of 24999 on it now.

Your assuming he doesn't have a note, which he probably does, otherwise it'd be better to sell it private.

Anyways, that price is under book value, so I don't see how any of you can say that's too much. Maybe you guys got a good deal because the dealership got it for dirt cheap, or it's had a fender of 2 replaced in it's lifetime.

I don't know where you guys get these super deals on 03/04 Cobra's, I think a lot of it is BS to be quite frank. I searched in a 200+ mile radius and I could not find a single 03/04 Cobra going for anything less than book value, infact nearly all of them were $1,000 or more over book value because of market demand.

Sound to me like you paid too much for your Cobra and now your bitter towards anyone who got a deal on theirs. My car has not been wrecked. I just got a deal. Deals are out there, you just have to be int he right place at the right time.

Got my 03 Vert for 25K with 27K miles.

Drove it on my lunch break the dealer was asking 28 for it . Told him 25 even and I'd get it. I didn't get the best deal, but the car was 38k brand new....so I did okay.

Perhaps it's people, much like you, that talk about excellent deals and fail to mention the other half of the story, like it was a private sale & someone needed quick cash.

I'm absolutely not bitter, I would have willingly paid sticker price for my car with the mileage it had when I bought it, I could careless, I wanted the car bad enough.

~2 years ago I bought my 2003 Cobra Vert with only 825 miles for $28,500.
I sold my 2001 Cobra to get my 2003, all in private deals.
I think better deals are out there.

It all comes down to how hard you want to look & how long. Some people are willing to pay a premium to save time & effort. My wife & I flew to Tampa & drove back to NY w/our 03 black vert. We paid 26,100 plus 2 one way tickets ,some fuel, tolls & a great ride back to NY in a Cobra vert w/4900 miles on it. So I figure it cost me just under 27k & I think it was worth every penny.

i know i paid 24,900 for my o3 around here these cars are tough to find at a dealer, so they wouldn't haggle at all i tried to get tit for 24 out the door and they bassically told me hey if you won't pay it someone else will and wouldn't budge on the price, so i ended up paying it in the end. Bottom line is you can find more variety from a private sale but you'll get financing alott easier at a dealer so you kinda have to pick your poison in a sence. good luck to you though.

I stole my 03 cobra someone traded it in at a dealership, well prior to trading it in they removed their aftermarket pullet and put stock one back on. The problem was they put it on backward so the pulleys did not line up so it would shred belts and throw them off. I could easily tell the problem due to the backspacing on the pulley. The dealership took it to ford well ford said oh it needs new supercharger thay will be 6k the dealership was going to wholesale it but instead they sold it to me for 19k and i had to sign a waiver stating I knew supercharger had problem installed aftermarket pulley and been smiling since. car had 14k miles on it.
