Curious how you guys drive your sticks. I'm rather lazy with it. I do things like skipping gears all the time.. for example I'll take off from a stoplight, rev 2nd all the way up to 4000+ RPM and then go right to 5th. Or when I downshift I'll go from 5th to 2nd. I skip around with gears all the time.. I dunno just became a habit over the years. Sometimes I rev the engine for fun so I can drop the clutch and floor it in 1st when taking off too. Though its hard to do this without burning out and then I get weird looks when I do, heh.

I like to rev 2nd up to about 4000 and then go to 5th

or Rev 3rd up a little higher then go to 5th

I have also done 1-3-5

I like to switch it up a little bit, keeps me on my heel and toes

I would love to shift from 2nd directly to 5th, but apparently my synchronizer is not really synchronizing. I get a terrible noise the first times I tried that. I can only skip 1 gear. Does anybody else have this problem?

I feel that 2nd to 5th is a large gap.
Isnt 5th overdrive?
Try 2nd to 4th....
