As the great Tim Allen would say: hugh hugh hugh.....Maybe I could um.....post a 1/4 time in texas, and an 03 Cobra could post 1/4 times here in utah, and then we'll see who the beyatch is. lol

01. when you get to texas see your boost jump 2-4 psi and it sounds like you'll probably want 3.27 gears. If you have the desire to hang with stock cobras, keep the gears. It will be a lot faster there. With 3.73 gears, 1st gear is basicly unuseable. With 3.08's or 3.27's 1st is decently useable. You also won't go through tires as fast with taller gears. By the way, are your rear wheels 18x10? (tire size 295/35/18)?

Yes, they are 295/35ZR18. Got another question for you. What boost am I looking for here in SLC area, 6? or the stock 8?...and if the pully was replaced what psi will i then look for?

01, probably you would see, assuming bone stock, about 5 or 6, taking into account the altitude. If the pully was replaced, it could conceivably be 9-12, depending on the pulley size. If its a 12 lb pulley, you could see 9-10 lbs in utah. -Maybe 8

Hey Rick, I finally got my car back and figured out my boost out put. Right at the shift point I'm running 7psi, take in account the altitude here in utah. Do you think I might have a 10 lb pully? Let me know if you can. Thanks

Jeff, yes, i think you have a 10 lb pulley. Call saleen tech, and they will tell you stock size. Measure yours and compare. If it was a 10 lb pulley, the diameter size difference over stock would be minimal, maybe 1/4 inch difference. So make sure you use a measuring caliper to see. oh, at what rpm is your "shiftpint"?

Well, Im trying to get use to the car, but i usually shift between 6 and 62k rpms. With a 10lb pully, and the other mods, what hp do you think i run now?

ok, at your elevation right now, i bet your making around 350 rwhp. -taking into account 6000'. In texas you'll make around 400 to the wheels, maybe 390. With your gears, right now in Provo, you are probably barely pulling on stock Cobras. -Which is a good feat considering your series 2 blower. The gears are whats allowing you to probably take a stock cobra; if you had 3.27 gears, you couldn't beat a cobra almost for sure

What would 350hp at the wheels equate to at the fly? and 400hp?

Good luck finding a stock cobra these days. It seems like every cobra I see is modded and most are pullied. A pullied/chipped cobra makes a stocker seem slow. With my 2.80 Pulley and Predator tune, I can light up the 315/35 in the first two gears.
What would 350hp at the wheels equate to at the fly? and 400hp?
That sounds about right, give or take a few ponies. Pretty strong if you ask me.
What would 350hp at the wheels equate to at the fly? and 400hp?
15% is typically the loss from the drive train.
