My V6 Coupe seams to have the rear end very jacked up and does not sit level at all. Pictures of GT's makes them appear to be more level and lower ... are the springs different? I saw another post here indicating that if you just replace the rear springs with a set of Roush Springs it will level the car off ... any experience with that? If the GT springs will lower and level the car I'd rather go that route since they can be picked up pretty cheap as take-off parts ...
I think its just the rear bumper that makes the 6 look higher...the GT has a lower hang to it, and combined with the painted side skirts and lower front bumper it gives the car a lower even look. But i cant answer your question weather or not the springs are the same...
I am not sure about this but I would think that the springs for the gt may be a little stiffer due to the weight of the larger engine. If this is so, these may actually raise the front instead of lowering it. But like I said this is just speculation in don't know this for sure. And as for the back, they should be the same.

the springs are different and yes the bumpers are different the gt bumper does give it a more balanced look
many have just swaped the rear springs out, and they think the car looks nicer that way.. but its an illusion the look at the lines on top of hte car (waist up if you were to say) but really the car hangs lower in the rear and will throw off your cars handeling properties...

there is like a 110 pound diff between the gt and v6 but i just bought ford racing springs for the gt and put on my 4.0 and it looks and feels great. even if you buy the gt kits i would highly doubt there will be a noticable difference. pics coming soon
What about the 06 Pony. It is supposed to have a "GT inspired suspension."
Supposedly the Pony has the GT front and rear sway bars .... fordparts.com does not list different coil springs for V6 and V8 cars ....
I have Roush rear springs and they level the stance nicely. The Ford specs pdf states the rear spring rate is the same for both GT and V6 models. Rear - Verts - 122.8 lb/in ... Coupes - 142.2 lb/in Front - GT- 136.5 lb/in ... V6- 114.2 lb/in
I've wondered about this also. My v6 has all the gt take off body parts on it including the rear bumper. I don't believe that really makes that much of a visual difference. when looking at the car the rear still looks to sit higher compared to a gt which i think looks more level. I had thought about ordering the take off suspension package from saleen which gives you all 4 springs, struts, and the sway bar from the gt for $119. Just not sure if the gt springs would still bring the back down to make it look level. I think I will end up changing wheels and tires before I do springs anyway because depending what look I go with may change my mind on springs anyway. I really don't mind the way the front of the car is, it would be great if just swapping out rear springs would bring it down level or at least close to it.

In some instances your comment is incorrect. I have Roush rear springs only installed and the stance is just about level. The rear of the car is approximately ¼” higher measured to the top of the wheel openings vs the front. The front is within 1/32” of the before install height. (The measurements were made on a Bosch alignment rack before and after.) I measured both the height of the front wheel opening and the shock tower before and after the install. The alignment was also checked before and after the rear spring install … there was no change. I agree that if you were to use a lowering spring in the rear only, you could experience the problem you described. (The Roush are not marketed as lowering springs and they don’t drop the stance like Eibach, Progress and others)
