6,000 rev limiter. When the warranty is done, a new tune is in order. Hey, I have some really fast cars for the 1/4 mile and i don't NEED to max this car out. This E car is the one my wife claims, so i see no need in screwing with it, really. I'm happy the way it is...I think...for now....
Those torque numbers are VERY strong. It's the main reason I think the E has half a chance against the Z07. But if it didn't, i'd still want it because I'm a Ford guy. My dad raised me a Ford guy and it's too late to change now!

I have read other threads where RWHP and RW and some other initials are used can you explain what these mean? I assume that your numbers are better then expected?
Thanks
Tim

before anyone claims the numbers are bad, there are a ton of variables to consider.
1. how many miles does the car have
2. temp and humidity
not to mention that with mild tuning and a bump in the rev limiter i would venture to say it would be well over 500. look at the graph and in particuliar at the top of the rpm range. do you not see how hard the car is still climbing as it hits the rev limiter?? there is a lot of power left on tap i can assure you

Chassis dynos get their readings from the rear wheel spinning a drum that may or may not be loaded with magnets. In this case (Mustang) the dyno is loaded. Therefore the Rear Wheel Horsepower figures are recorded and reflects a 15 to 20% loss from engine crank figures through the driveline. Manual transmissions are generally more efficient at transferring power than automatics. This is a very simple explanation. RW=Rear Wheel

In this case the engine is putting out very close to 550 HP at the crank/flywheel and 530 to 540 ft. lbs. of torque at the crank. Saleen claims 550HP and 500 RWTQ

About 93 degrees with around 90% Humidity (Central Va is in a serious Hot spell). The car has 800 miles on it. Yea, theres more to be had.

Keep in mind this was a Mustang chassis dyno and not a dynojet. The dynojet would have read 20 to 30 HP HIGHER.

The dynojet would have given better numbers PLUS there should only be a 12% loss opposed to the 15-20%. Either way it doesn't matter. With a more aggressive tune and smaller pulley you'll be hitting 625 to the wheels.

Yeah with a Dyno he would of put down 480, IMO this car has a very good chance in the 1/4 against a Zo6, the E has 4.10 as long as you launch good I think you could take him, its after that you would have a problem, I think Saleen E really hit the spot with this one, the way the Shelby GT500 should of done. Nice Car!!

How was your A/F? Mine was way rich on my Saleen tune. My car is an '01, hopefully they have improved their tunes over the years.

Nice #'s mine had 391rwhp on a mustang dyno @10 lbs of boost but the mixture was at 11.2 i know it can find some more.

You're too conservative, go 12:1. (I'm 12:1 but not as much boost)

Actually those number are very impressive. Prior to purchasing my Saleen Extreme, I checked out other mustangs being offered by tuners, one being the DCF500GTR (the Extreme Series) made by The Dream Car Factory. If you go into their website, they claim that the DCF500GTR produces 625hp. So I contacted them and asked to see a dyno that substantiated their claim. They emailed me a Mustang Dynometer dated 6/10/2006 showing Maximum power of 454.4 @ 6260 rpm / 128.7 mph and Maximum torque 413.4 @ 4746 rpm / 97.4 mph. And with WCF the figures were 463 and 420 respectively. I asked them how they came up with the advertised 625 hp claim and they responded as follows:

...there is a much less of a loss on a dynojet which means false higher hp numbers. what exactly are you looking for? Here is a graph to look at...there is a 15-17% loss from the crank on a dynojet and a 27-30% loss on a mustang dyno so if you reverse the numbers you will see crank hp...thats what you should use to compare

Based on 4Stangs mustang dyno chart, I believe his Extreme most definitely produces higher crank numbers than the 550 hp /500 torque advertised by Saleen. Saleen’s claims are conservative. Bottom line, I am glad I got the Saleen Extreme instead.

I'd avoid them.

4Stangs #'s are right on the money.

Daris: On Stephanie's car ( ), did you have it dyno'd at PAS? I just added a 2.5 pulley to my Jeep and its now up from 8psi to 14-15psi. I had it tested at AED Performance using the 8psi, and keeping vehicle in Drive and hitting it at 60mph, I was hitting 350rwh and 370trq. Was looking for some new #'s and thought I might let Mark have a go on it.

Heading to the Dinwiddie track on Friday night to see if the Jeep will get into the mid-12's with the new pulley. Have not run the EXTREME yet. Sept.17th, we have the track all to ourselves and I may make a run with it then. Have you?

4Stangs: Just curious about the weight of 3600 lb used for your Extreme. Did you get a chance to weigh the car before it was dynoed and how does a higher vs. lower weight number factor into the equation? Let's suppose your car was actually heavier than the number that was used [including weight of driver or full tank of gas]. If you had plugged in a higher number for its weight, would the hp/tq numbers have been higher? Just wondering if by using a lower weight than what the car actually weighed as tested would have shown a more conservative [i.e. lower] hp/tq curve? Anyone else feel free to chime in. Thanks.

Sport 55 i have that question too, also polk thug i was thinking of tuning it to about 11.6-11.7 andusing methanol injection, also my numbers on a mustang dyno were using weight as 3730(i weigh 260)
