Nice numbers! They confirm the flywheel HP and we also know there is room to grow! Good news.

If you go into their website, they claim that the DCF500GTR produces 625hp. So I contacted them and asked to see a dyno that substantiated their claim. They emailed me a Mustang Dynometer dated 6/10/2006 showing Maximum power of 454.4 @ 6260 rpm / 128.7 mph and Maximum torque 413.4 @ 4746 rpm / 97.4 mph. And with WCF the figures were 463 and 420 respectively. I asked them how they came up with the advertised 625 hp claim and they responded as follows:
...there is a much less of a loss on a dynojet which means false higher hp numbers. what exactly are you looking for? Here is a graph to look at...there is a 15-17% loss from the crank on a dynojet and a 27-30% loss on a mustang dyno so if you reverse the numbers you will see crank hp...thats what you should use to compare
That's downright shady. Glad you thought to ask for the dyno numbers and could see through the bs.

Daris: On Stephanie's car ( ), did you have it dyno'd at PAS? I just added a 2.5 pulley to my Jeep and its now up from 8psi to 14-15psi. I had it tested at AED Performance using the 8psi, and keeping vehicle in Drive and hitting it at 60mph, I was hitting 350rwh and 370trq. Was looking for some new #'s and thought I might let Mark have a go on it.
Heading to the Dinwiddie track on Friday night to see if the Jeep will get into the mid-12's with the new pulley. Have not run the EXTREME yet. Sept.17th, we have the track all to ourselves and I may make a run with it then. Have you?
Good to hear from you Viper. Had the car done at AED on their Mustang Dyno. Most folks agree that the Mustang gives slightly more accurate numbers. I like dealing with John Dickey and Dickey Allen does a good job with the dyno.
I need to get back out to the track, but haven't been since FFW. I've been so busy and was on Vac teo weeks ago.

4Stangs: Just curious about the weight of 3600 lb used for your Extreme. Did you get a chance to weigh the car before it was dynoed and how does a higher vs. lower weight number factor into the equation? Let's suppose your car was actually heavier than the number that was used [including weight of driver or full tank of gas]. If you had plugged in a higher number for its weight, would the hp/tq numbers have been higher? Just wondering if by using a lower weight than what the car actually weighed as tested would have shown a more conservative [i.e. lower] hp/tq curve? Anyone else feel free to chime in. Thanks.
The weight in no way changes the numbers. People plug in vehicle weight to get an idea of what performance may look like at the track, etc. based on the HP/TQ numbers. The car weighs right at 3557, but thats with stuff in the trunk, floor mats, etc.

How was your A/F? Mine was way rich on my Saleen tune. My car is an '01, hopefully they have improved their tunes over the years.
I'll have to go back and check the sheets. Dickie didn't mention a A/F ratio problem, so i feel it must have been acceptable. I have all 3 pull sheets at home to scan into the computer. I'll check it out.
The addition of a pre-charge cooler system like ones offered by Snow would give this car a serious boost alone. I'm happy...

According to the dyno what times would the car run on the track? 3,557 isn't bad. My buddie has an SRT-4 and I thought those things were light. Its almost 4,000 lbs.

Hard to say. Traction would be a problem. I'd guess 11.5 IF the tires would hold, but probably more like a traction-limited 12.1 to 12.5. DRs probably 11.5 to 11.8.
Only a guess.
I'd like to weigh the car. An aquataince of mine wweighed his SC car and said it was 3450. That's 100 pounds difference. i doubt my carbon fiber splitter and rear difuser make THAT much difference.
I know in my Saleen S/C with 3.73 I ran 12.5's, with 4.10 I would think better, With pratice I bet you can get 11.5-11.8 in that thing. Again nice Car!!

Thanks cable. It's a fun car. We had an 05 S/C same color as our 06 E. I wish I was wealthy enough to have kept it, but that seems to be a problem with me and my wife...buy too many and sell too few!

Thanks for the info and for posting your dyno numbers. I see the weight is right at the est 3550 curb weight that Saleen's site lists. Hopefully someone will be able to post some 1/4 mi. times before long.
Yes, I got mine from Ron Ward and I should have it by the end of the month. I'm glad you went through him. The guy is really easy to talk too and is very helpful. If I end up buying another Saleen in the future it will definitly be from Ron Ward. I just wish I lived closer to him. The Saleen dealer by my house literally stinks. When I was first interested in buying the Extreme they wouldn't even let me test drive the 3v. I even flat out told the guy I wanted to purchase a Saleen Extreme and they were like ok, whatever. I know I look young but they didn't give me the common courtesy of talking to me. They just gave me a spec card and said goodbye.

I had the same problem being taken seriously when buying my car. The first "in charge of Saleen" guy could not be bothered with me. The next time I went by the dealer in the 911 and got the attention of a week in the business salesman. He paid attention and got the sale. Look for the young kid on the lot and deal with them. Screw the veteran salesperson who sizes you up in 2 seconds. My two cents.
I was so upset I ended up going back three seperate times and spoke with three seperate salesman. None of them gave me any attention. At that point I was really close to buying a z06. I was so dissapointed. I than figured, why am I going to let someone else ruin MY moment. So I ended up doing an internet search and came across Ron. Its just going to suck if I have to get something fixed. I would have top back to their service station.
