Crappity fliggidy floppidy!! - 8/10/2006 2:02:51 PM    YUR2ND98SALEEN   Posts: 36 Joined: 8/6/2006 Status: offline My car was leaking coolant. I thought it was the thermastat. Pulled it off to replace the gasket and the freakin Manifold is cracked! The previous owner jerry riged JB weld on there to hold it. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. The car only has 41k on it..... Is this common with the 4.6? I'm heated!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I just needed to vent. Post #: 1

I actually had a manifold crack on a rental GT convertible I had and the damn thing stranded me on the highway. The manifold is plastic. I'm not completely sure but you might have missed the boat on having Ford replace it, but contact your local dealer to find out. I have a 2004 SC and is this something I am going to need to look at or is just on the non SC Mustangs and Saleens that had the tiny ass manifod intake?
