beats the sh*t out of me on the exhaust. i just know what they used and where i got it from. i'm gettin ready to change it out anyways. but thats why german engineering is better than american huh? i can't explain it.
and i don't want to repair it back to original 28hopup, i just want a removable top idea. i know how to fabricate this stuff. i was just looking for opinions or sugestions as to what would be the best setup for it.
This has to be one of the funniest threads here. I'm also having a hard time beleiving they used 3.1" tubing for the exhaust, and what german engineers are doing this?

about the transmissions different gearing... i find it very hard to believe .. it would cost way too much to go ahead and pull the transmission crack em open change the gears, and throw it al back together

i got info ford specific that others con only wish to know.. and that im not allowed to disclose.. ill tell you this.. the germans arent changing hte gearing inthe transmissions...
mathematically our american trannies hit the same speed at teh same RPM
our cars iwth governers hit 113 at 3500 rpm... but at 60mph i cruis somewhere int he 2000rpm range.. which shows hte rate of speed increase per rpm... hence its safe to say at 4600rpm our can hit 155mph too..

I think that the car looks good with the roof chopped! Did you save your top? If you did, it should not be hard to make it into a removeable piced if you have access to the right equipment and tools. If you didn't save it you might be able to find one in a junkyard, idk you will just have to look around. For you to try to fabricate a completely new roof from a piece of sheetmetal woul be quit an accomplishment to get it to look right. You may also try to make something like a canvas top, like a jeep uses, hell you might be able modify one of those jeep bikini tops to work!!!

info others could only wish to know? yeah right. and your the president of the atlantic ocean huh? the 5th gear is set to a slower top speed rate for better acelleration rate in that mph range due to the fact that the car is not built to travel at those high speeds for a lengthy amount of time. and at 60 mph your doing 2300 rpms cause i have friends here with american tuned v6 stangs. 55 mph is 2050-2100 rpms.

at 2300 5th (you say, which is probobly right and i cant reember for the life of me because i havent driven my car in a week becuse i broke my ankle) ill be doing 60mph at 3500 5th gear im governing out at 113
you say you do 4600 at 155mph.. do you see the pattern? the rate of acceleration relative to RPM is about equal..
someone with a proper driveshaft and a tuner should go see what rpm they are at doing 155
do the spedometers even go that high? i know mine hits 210km or 200 i cant remember

unless you have a custom one or like a saleen speedo they dont go that high....but once again european standard for speedo is higher than u.s.
as for the top i think th erag top over it would be nice like action says. it would be similar to a lotus convertible roof. hell thats exactly what it reminds me of
that so called info you have as a ford technician don't mean anything cause i have friends that are technicians too. they have even asked me to work for them but they were not offering enough money for my liking.
you don't even need a fifth gear in the v6 american mustangs because 4th reaches the american governor before you run out of rpms. and you mean to tell me that 5th stretches from 113 to 155 and only goes up 1100 rpms in the same gear? get real man. thats gotta be the fastest acceleration rate on earth in a street legal car.
and no factory mustang speedo says 200 mph. at least in the 05 and up model. a v6 american says 120 and a gt says 140. mine was all in kph but i had to get it changed to ship to the states. mines says 120 cause i had to get a v6 speedo since i have a v6. i would have gotten a gt speedo but the wiring harness is different by two pins that offset the harness (plus the molding is different).
