I'm 24 with an accident and speeding ticket on my record. My new sixth month premium through USAA is $341.45 for the sixth month time frame. I plan to pay it all off at once instead of through monthly payments.

That price isn't too bad, for having points. After the points are gone, usually 3 years for insurance it will drop. Also, after you turn 25 it drops. Mine is only $60 month for full coverage with zero ded. If you could add family members to your plan it helps (fleet coverage.) Also, if you run home, life or add either by itself through your insurance agent it will help, too.

Are you on a parent's policy or something? I also have USAA, and while they are almost always the best premium by a long shot, yours seems extremely low to me. For comparison, I'm almost 41, have no tickets or accidents, and get a multi car discount for insuring 3 cars and a motorcycle on the same policy. The Mustang portion of my premium is a little over $100 / month - for 100/300/50 Liability & Collision / Comp with a $500 deductible.

When I get a V6 Mustang My insurance will be no different than It is now, It's $107.00 every six months through GMAC, Right now I have a Escort LX and GMAC said with the number of miles I drive and the Mustang being a V6, Not to mention the insurance being the state minimum in Ca, They will transfer It across to the Mustang with no increase in My rate.

Oh and I'm 46.

With GEICO I pay 400 every six months for my 06 V6. I have a 500 dollar deductible. I have thought about checking with USAA again, I had them years ago but after a disagreement I dropped them.

Holy $#$% I'm paying 2400 a year for my 06 v-6. My previous car, a 96 Corolla with 220,000 miles on it, was 1000 a year. I've no accidents, multi-line discount and everything, and I'm married and in my late thirties. Of course I live in Los Angeles--that might have something to do with it. Man, I wish I lived in another part of the country some times. :(

Nope it's my own policy. I'll break down the charges later on but basically I have the cheapest coverage you can get. It's like 25,000/50.000 with a $1,000 deductable. That's ok though because I have a company car for my job. I'm also receiving a good student discount which is a rather big discount.

Location, Location, Location. Believe it or not when I moved from Alabama to Northern Virginia my insurance dropped $100. I figured it would have skyrocketed since I'm not that for from DC. Of course I am hoping for a transfer to FL after Oct and I can bet it will go up then. I know how you feel when I lived in Cali I wanted out everyday. j/k

wtf maybe its time I start calling around. A year younger than me with an accident and 3 tickets and you pay less?

My insurance company is ripping me :\ (USAA too)

or maybe I should just move away from here, Virginia sucks.

I pay $1420/year for just liability on my probe which has a 5star front impact rating. Im 30 w/ no points. When my stang was my DD, they wanted $1400/6mo, and that was for comprehensive only. Man WTF?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! I HATE insurance companies. I live ina no-fault state thats gotta have something to do with it. Another thing that pisses me right off is, how the hell can the insurance company hold your ticket on their file for 3 years when the state can only hold it for 2. That right there is some great big bullsh!t!

Guess I've got it pretty good. Pay $675 every six months. That's full coverage (100K/300K/300K, $500 deductible, full road service and mechanical breakdown on the 05 Mustang GT Vert Premium. This also includes the 05 Solara Vert for the wife. Also includes 24K miles per year on the Mustang (I drive it a lot) and 15K miles on the Solara per year. Also being 59 with no accidents/tickets in so many years I can't remember. Also told by GEICO that my premium will go up about $41 per year when I add my 07 GT Vert (due Aug 21-28). The 07 is replacing the 05.

Full coverage in CA for Me(I'm 46 and a clear record) for a V6 Mustang from GMAC would be $403 every 6 months w/a $100 deductible, They have a $500 deductible, But I didn't feel comfortable with that as My income is not too good. I drive less than 2000 miles a year.

$70 a month full coverage 22years old with a horrible driving record... my dad hooks me up under his policy though so yeah, what blew my mind was I was going to get a new Eclipse GT (which isn't too much faster than the stang) and that would've been $180 a month?!?!?!?
