thanks man. yea im getting better everytime i take pictures. but when you get all these expensive cameras it gets pretty confusing. i need to learn much more. those were just quick shots after i put the rims on. ill get some real good photos later this week. i just took those to see if anyone could make me a sig.

yea just gotta practice with the camera in manual mode working with the aperature and shutter speed settings. by the looks of those pics you already know how to manage your lighting.

if youre new to photography, here's some quick tips:

your aperature is how far open/closed the lens is. a lower F-Stop means the lens is wider open, which means what the camera is set to focus on (whether its set to auto focus or manual focus), is the only thing that will be in focus when the picture is taken. meaning everything in front and behind will be blurred.

a high f-stop like 8.0 means everything is in focus from the very front to the very back

but with higher f stops, more light is needed to make the right exposure. so you gotta adjust your shutter speed accordingly.

a slow shutter speed (15, 8, 1, 2"...) obviously means the more light that is gonna get in because the shutter is open longer before it snaps the picture. a fast shutter speed (usually anything above 60 [ to 1000 ]is a faster speed) does the exact opposite, it shoots the picture almost instantly, letting in less light but freeze framing everything.

slower shutter speeds allow more blurrs and give movement to pictures, fast shutter speeds allow the ability of static images.

but to get the exposure correct so the picture isnt too blurry, you need to adjust both to accomodate one another. a faster shutter speed is gonna require a lower aperature, which means to take pictures that are freeze framed, youre most likely gonna have to have some burred backgrounds. OR you can just add more physical light to the scene. a high aperature will put everything in focus but will require a slower shutter speed to allow enough light, which are best for still photographs, mostly of scenery.

when i take car pictures i usually use a lower aperature, because i could care less whats behind the car, so when the pictures are taken i know i wont get a blur. so i would set the camera to a lower aperature (like 2.4) and set the shutter speed to a higher speed like maybe somewhere around 400-600 depending on the lighting.

i did up a small tutorial in one of the stickys. it sounds like a lot to remember, but when you start working with it and seeing the changes in person, you'll get a hang of it rather quickly, and become a seasoned photographer rather quickly.
