Hey im eric im 16 and owna red 98 mustang its a 3.8 now but im looking for something big or something stupied tah can get me in trouble. haha anybody got any ideas. i was thinking about buliding up the 3.8 or boring out a 4.6 (can you do that and if so how much) or just going to a 5.0

well u will one of the more unique ones if u build up that 3.8..... boring out a 4.6 cool but your better off going with the tried and true and reliable as hell 5.0...

i want to go 5.0 but will it bolt up to the tranny i got now?

yeah i'm pretty sure it will... i don't think they used a different trans..

can that tranny hold up to the power? i mean if they are the same tranny then i guess they would but ive heard that they arent as strong and people recomend switching them

If you do swap in a V8 you'll have to swap the Transmission. The V8 will bolt up to your V6 Tranny, but it won't last long if you plan on driving the car hard. I recommend putting a supercharger on the V6. You'll more power than a V8, and costs about the same as it would to do the swap. Also if you do add more power, the V6 7.5 rear end can only handle up to about 300hp.
