I use Mobil 1 Synthetic in mine. As far as wax goes. I only use Poorboy's World Natty's blue. I maybe a little biased because I'm a Poorboy's distributor, but their stuff is awesome. The wax can be put on in the direct sunlight even. Another option is a sealant. Waxes last 6-8 weeks and a sealant can last from 3-6 months. I usually put a couple layers of sealant on and then top it with a wax. The shine, paint depth, and reflection is awesome. Welcome to the forums!

Best bet is to go by what the Saleen Manual says, which for your car is probably synthetic 5w-30. I have no idea on the best wax to use but I use "best of show" wax from Griot's Garage. Just about everything from them rocks. http://www.griotsgarage.com/index.jsp
