Saw the new lightning!!
 

Ford brought a prototype lightning to the plant the other day.The front looked nice and but the rear had a taped up bumper and a bed that would not be seen on the official version.The part that i loved the most was that it had 600 horse power.From what i had seen online i thought it was going to be around 500.Also a rep said they were working with gm to create a automatic tranny that could handle that much power.He also said that the first lightning will only be 5 speeds.The rep said it would be marketed at 585 horse power,but we put it on the dyno at the plant and it spit our 607 horse power.(not rwhp)

I have been waiting on the new cobras but i think the lightning may be my new choice.Had some huge exaust pipes coming out the side.Sorry i didnt get any pictures for you guys but didnt have my camera on me.

of coarse a chevy trans*L*.....which ford plant.. no word here at the VA plant......herd maybe 06 it might reappear as dodge's v-10 is kicking ass ..I just can't get used to the sound

Its going to be produced here at the norfolk assembly plant.A few of my friends said that now there not sure if we will be able to,the tires are too wide in the rear for the line.Which in my opinion is a dumb problem to have.It wasnt like this when the old guys were runnning things,if something didnt work you made it work.The plant already cant do two tone trucks,they young boys better get there act together cause if they dont fix these problems then ford just might shut the plant down.We were told that we will make 6 lightnings at our plant so maby that will be like a test run or something.I been there for over 44 years so i can retire and it wont hit me hard if the plant shuts down,but alot of guys will be put out of work.

well I personally don't like trucks but I would not mine owning a Lightning, nothing else... I don't think it looks bad at all! looks kick a$$
