Ok first time at the track. Will be going back next saturday and desperatly want to hit 14's. What can I do. IThese times are the two best I got. After these the track got real slick and I could not go with out spinning. Hell even my driver side tire spun rubber on my fenders, and I do not have a LSD. Anyway any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also went back to the track saturday and knocked off a 14.3281@94.53, N/A auto on drag radials. Had a lot of wind and alot of spin on launch.. but I bettered my old time by more then a tenth!!

Chad, did you change your fuel filter and put in mobil one? Try the bosch platinum 4 spark plugs, that is what I use.

I havent changed the spark plugs nor the fuel filter. I am running royal purple oil though. Is the fuel filter under the car like most new cars? Any special tools needed or just an open end wrench?

Its under the floor on the drivers side , bolted to the frame rail.. If you look under the car right below the middle of your door you will see a black plastic sheild that is about 2 feet lond and attached with a few smal bolts. right behind that is the fuel filter. You will need a socket wrench to remove the bracket that holds the fuel filter , but the filter itself is attached to the fuel ine with quick disconnect fittings. Push in on the green part. The only place I can find the filter right now is at ford 18.99

Something does not sound right . It would seem you should be running at least high 14S I thought I saw some info. where a stock v6 has about 183 rear wheel hp and actually 235 at the flywheel

210 HP at the flywheel... figure around 15% loss for a manual give you.... puts you in the 180RWHP range.... 18% or so for an automatic get your around 170RWHP...

Well I fell like crap now.   Three months out of the Dealership, first time ever at a track, and I get this - Well its a start.

http://www.badmustangsclub.com/forum/image.php?u=2237&type=timeslip&dateline=1174835767

Stock intake and single exhaust to the muffler.   Just installed a T-Lok and Hurst Short Shifter.   I had way to much fun though and am now hoping to start with real dual exhaust (need some help doing this - Hint Hint) and a cold air intake.   Ooooohhhh and tuning.

Time to update!  I finally got to the track last saturday to test the new mods (MAC long tube headers, offroad pipes , MAC prochamber, drag shocks JBA wires and a T/A rearend girdle)   It was a very windy and cold, 40 degree day.  Lots of cars showed up to finally get on the track.  I amde several runs the best of which was 14.1349@96 mph, two other 14.1's and a few 14.2's.   I get tire spin no matter what with the M&H DR's and lowering the tire pressure makes it worse, probally because the tire cups.  I did get a few 2.0xxx 60' times, but I really need to get better at that!  I've got one more mod to save for, the BMR k-member and arms.  The I'll be done ;)

ok.  lets c if u guys can help me out here.  i don't have any clue where my timeslip went, but i remember the important times (some of them anyway)  2007 mustang v6, white/black 5spd.  bone stock.  580miles, ran 4 passes back to back.  best of the night was a 15.687 @ 89.942mph.  60' was 2.330  r/t was .160  1/8th i believe was 9.874 @ forget speed.  had one other decent 15, which was a 15.821 @ 92mph.  next one was a crap pass, as i missed 3rd, and just coasted through at 18.000 @ 64 mph.  the above 3 passes were on 87 octane, w/ maybe 2 gallons of gas left in the tank.  next pass was with 10, and not by me, but a friend, who drives a scoobie (2000 wrx rs w/ ej20 swap), so he didnt know how to launch a rwd car.  well, he missed 3rd, and ran a 16.321 @ 83mph.  his 60' was pathetic, at 2.8  this seemed to be the best night, as now every single pass has been 16.0's at 87-89mph, except for one 15.9.  with the first 4 passes, 2nd wouldnt even chirp, now, 2nd will occasionally spin.  come wednesday, im going to run again (gainesville raceway, test-n'-tune every single wednesday), but this time, ive got simple mods: fuel filter, k&n air filter, bosch +4 plat plugs, and q horsepower oil(not quite sure, but figured id try it).  i know theres issues with the track, as its not quite sticky after the stupid sc camaro popped his tranny tryin to run down a 5.0 w/ h/c/i.  then proceded to run the whole length of the track, as did the next civic in the other lane.  any other simple quick mods u guys have in idea i should try?  and what kind of times u guys think ill run?
