You know you have a bad ass car when you can beat a bike with it, Don't know what kind of bike, it was night, but it was a slow one i guess. Don't have to many mods cause fords all over me about warranty issues. I have so far:

JLT CAI
Borla stinger cat-back w/4" tips
Steeda springs
Steeda Tri-ax
Steeda boost Bypass valve
Lunar guages

Plan on doing more stuff down the road but this is sufficent for now.

Eh, I ran a crotch rocket one night in my LT1 car....pretty even through 1st and 2nd from about a 20mph roll....my buddy ellis_juan was pretty impressed. I'm guessing he wasn't full throttle or 600's aren't that fast...?

And yea, I'm pretty familiar with Havoc. Have a lot of his vids and visit his forum often.

Don't underestimate the cobra's there fast as ****. mine stock from the factory STOCK, 374 rwhp on the dyno. That's not bad for factory and pretty damn close to what it's rated to the flywheel.

your cobra wont beat a crotch rocket, ifs hes racing. 600cc bikes are hitting from low to high 10s in the 1/4 stock. just depends on the bike. your car is still in the 12 sec range.

Sadly the great "Ford's modular tech engine" failed to outperform the same displacement 4.6 in the Cadillac. That's right a might mighty family sedan. So don't give me their great technology. Hell, I'm willing to bet you didn't know that GM had a Corvette back in 1991 with the "new" DOHC" motor that would outperform any Ford Mustang to date.

I think your name says it all KID! I have no idea what you are arguing about, and I am sure you do not either. One has a little more than a little ole 4.6 when you add the concept of forced induction. Run what you brung and who cares about displacement. If you want a car with more displacement buy one. As far as your car, how do you fair with an LS1 from about a 50 mph roll? I think the ole pushrod V8 from GM is not quite outdated yet.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS STOCK VS. STOCK THE 03-04 COBRA IS FASTER THAN ANY STOCK CAMARO OR FIREBIRD LS-1 OR LT-1. THE CAR CAN TAKE ALL KINDS OF HELL U CAN THROW AT IT AND RESPONDS MUCH BETTER TO MODIFICATIONS. THE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS ARE GOOD CARS BUT THEY DON'T HOLD A CANDLE TO THE NEW COBRAS. THE FACT IT THE 03-04 COBRAS ARE THE BEST MUSCLE CARS EVER PRODUCED. AND DONT EVEN TRY TO SAY THE CORVETTE IS A MUSCLE CAR

hey whats up?about the argument between ford and chevy engines, my opinion is i love ford and the 03-04 cobras but im dissapointed that ford chose to go modular, and wont step of the displacement. Its not fair to compare a 4.6 to a 5.7. I also think that chevy has some bad ass cars camaro,vette,trans am.... Ford will definately need to step it up...the new Motor Trend i got today shows the Z06 rated @ 500 hp N/A with a 7.0. :( cost 75 k and is as fast as the ford GT

its a never ending battle between ford and chevy but i will say this..the only thing thats keeping gm alive with its sports cars are the vette and i dont see why people buy them..i mean $40k+ for something that can only carry 2 people?yeah the vette is bad a$$ but ford must have done something right with thier MODULAR V8S because they out sold the t/as and the z28s damn near every year..i just wish ford would but put a n/a 5.4 in the mustang and smoke every 2002 and below f body car so they will just shut up and end this war..i dont have a problem with t/as and camaros but the people who own them just think they are the $hit and when they get freaking slaughterd by an 03-04 cobra its ol it has a supercharger...i say just shut up and take your defeat

i BEAT a cbr 600 F2 w/ my 03 cobra, and raced an 03 gsxr 600 from a roll, and he didnt pull on me until i hit 4th gear(i was in 2nd when we started racing), everybody knows that cobra's order up gsxr's for appetizers :D:D.
i love my cobra, but i had to do some work to it cuz the 06 GTO is coming out w/ 400hp w/ a 6.0, and according to motor trend will run a 13.3, and the new caddy sts-v will have 425 hp, and also according to motor trend, will run a 13.1. i also read that the 06 vette will have 500hp stock. thats some serious power out of a stock car. but when they come out, i'll be ready for them, [sm=smiley20.gif]
as far as sport bike times, a modded R1 with a pro rider can run a 9.8, so with an everyday rider on a 600, he better bring his A game or imma hurt his 'feel bads' w/ my Cobra, i will video tape me racing the gsxr 600 and you guys will see what it looks like to see a sports bike get beat buy a 'four wheeler'

I just looked at everybody posts. I own a 02 t/a and some of my friends own ls1/lt1 fbodys. All of us think the same thing the 03/04 are fast. Ive race at least five of them killed me hands down. We all know to that mustang out sold fbodys. So im not trying to start any thing but but there are fast fbody also. Like the ZL1 camaros and the trans am blackbirds. Just so if any of you dont know there where 3 phases. 380hp,420hp and 600hp. I know they are rare fbodys but i just had to add my 2 cents in. If you guy/girls think that am a chevy guy try to strat a fight im not. Im try to find a modded cobra.

I dont have time to step in this arguement, im off to work, but nice car man, and congrats... I'll race yah when your ready? I live in newton county, forest park(No Limit Motorsports is going to be adding my s/c and doing the upgrades and tune up, but right now if your close to stock I dont mind racing you :), just let me know...

Put 20 psi of boost on your stock internals without even touching the valve covers.

Post a video of what happens.

And remember the old cliche, "Size only matters if you know how to use it", so take your 5.7L heavier POS and get the Fu** out our MUSTANG forum if you don't like it.

I just got my 03 and I cant beat anyone on the street, my car blows the tires off when I jump on it in 4th gear at 60 mph. Its ridiculous. Any wot results in smoke and a sideways condition. Springtime drag radials and the strip will help I hope. Cured my adrenalitus though.
