Keeping the paint new and shiny.

I own a redfire mustang and I'm wondering what are some steps that I can keep the paint looking brand new and shiny? I see cars that are a decade old looking brand new and I'm wondering how they do that. I don't have a garage to store it in and I park it out on the street. Some colors like torch red and vista blue can retain their shine for years with little work because that's how the color is, but duller colors like redfire, tungsten gray, windveil blue and silver can quickly lose their shine as seen on other cars.

What can I do to keep my stang looking new?

I just bought a Screaming Yellow 06 ... Putting stripes on before I wax for the first time ....

My plan is ....

Clay Bar before initial Wax and then Wax ....

I will do this every 3 months ....

Clay Bar's are the miracle answer to keeping your paint looking like new prior to each waxing ...

yes, I do. I live in the desert where the sun beats on the vinyl and without wax or some kind of protectant it wouldnt last as long.

I don't think it would be a good idea to put wax on vinyl. Something like ICE or Zanio is safe but reg wax - I don't think so.

I put wax on my stripes whenever I wax the car and it makes them look great!
