Default Evo Xcal 2 combo

After working some overtime to get enough money, I finally gave in an order the xcal 2 combo from Fred at evolution performance. I hope I made a wise decision. From what I see on this forum I don't think I can go wrong!

You will be plenty happy. The 93 tune is AWESOME..... hope you can afford to go with 93. Heck, around here, it's only 20 cents a gallon more. I only drive my Stang about 4000 per year, so for me the difference is about $40 per year. For others, who drive 12,000 miles, it's about $120 year more to run 93 octane.

Personally, I can't see why so many people make a big deal about the higher octane cost. If you drive 12,000 miles a year, isn't it worth $10 a month to have an extra kick in your car? And, I am not even taking any credit for possible better gas mileage from 93 octane.

You're right. When you're paying $45 to fill up your tank, why does an additional $3/fill-up make a difference? Until Premium goes beyond an additional $.20/gallon, I'll keep filling with that.

Let me know how you make out with it. I stopped by Evolution Performance this afternoon to check out the place. I talked to Fred about the Xcal combo kit. I was tempted to have him installed it right there, as he said that he had time. I wasn't prepared to drop $600 dollars on the combo kit just yet though.

Yeah im about to get a cia and tuner too. Is this the best one available? Where can i see some other ones? And are they going to come out with like a new and improved one anytime soon? Not looking to waste my money.

There really is no "best" tuner or CAI.

What can be said is that virtually everybody who gets the XCal2 and C&L CAI are very happy.

Everyone here is happy with Evolution, and they have great prices.

Everybody is also happy with Bamachips, Brenspeed and Alternative Auto.

From my research, I also believe that the sponsors that sell tuners on this forum have mostly top quality products. I went with the combo from evolution because it was the least expensive of anyone else on this site.
