Default Pirelli vs BFG

Does anyone know anything on the difference between the Stock Pirelli's used on the 05 Mustang Vs the BFGoodwrench's that were on the 06's? Are the BFG's better on the track?

Wait am I missing something?

My 06 came with the Pirellis, not BF Goodrich.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the BFG's were on the 18" factory wheels, the Pirelli's on the 17".

I have BFG's on my 06 GT Vert w/ upgraded 18" tires and their great tires for first tires out of the factory. Have been looking down the road to upgrade to Goodyear F1's since they have greatly improved wet/dry traction over the BFG's but we will see barring comments, prices and performance issues out of these types of forums......

In the short...

The Pirellis suck. Hard.

The BFGs are decent.

What kind of BFG are those on the 18s? I was thinking of going with BFG Radial T/A when my Perrelli's wear out soon.

I was pulling 2 second 60" times with my stock tires. Switched to BFG KDW2's and pulled a 1.68 60'. I have a lot of suspension work, but that was there with the originals too, so the KDW's were the factor that made the big difference.
