Default 2 GTP's vs. GT

I raced two GTP's the model before now, one yesterday and one today, yesterdays was modded with exhaust, intake, and some chip....other was stock, before we raced he said he was having tanny problems it would rev up and take like a second to shift.....but yeah we went from a stop and i bet him by 4 or 5 lengths up to 100, and then the 4 door claimed he could beat me, then we went and i beat him by 2-3 lenths up to 80-85mph, then we stopped and he ALSO said his car messed up when we went....i guess those GTP's tranny's can't hold the power of the s/c......but yeah, i thought those things were a lil faster than they are (i'm basically stock with just catback and short throw....)

there is a guy around here that is running 13.5's@105+ with crappy 60',,
it takes a pulley swap and a couple other things, but they can be made quick for a four door family car

as for the tranny issues,, yea, the time i went to the track with him, sometime in earlyfall last year, he was just praying he didnt leave anything laying destroyed on teh track

same thing with modded Grand Am's he said,,, i guess they have a tendency to shift from 2-1, or from 3-1 under full throttle once they start going bad..that would be bad news at 70 mph..lol

ya..the tranny's in gtp's are pretty weak...you get up to around 300 HP and you start breakin everything else in the car too...
they are a quick family car tho
