i just bought my first stang, a 95 gt, when i first start it, it will idle at about 600-800, then if i rev it at an idle it will drop to about 400- or 500 and sound like it wants to stall, it also hesitates while driving, i had it checked out on a computer, it showed that the o2sensors were to low, but the mechanic said i had a vacuum leak, i took the advice of everyone on this page and replaced all of the rubber boots on the vacuum lines, and sealed them with silicon, still does it, i changed the plugs and wires yesterday, and it still does it, im really stumped here, could it be the o2sensors? if it is i can get them cheap, but do you need a special tool to get them off?

Wouldn't hurt to change the O2 sensors, though I don't think that's your problem. Check to make sure all the grounds are connected. Check fuel pressure with a gauge. Check IAC (on throttle body).

Clean your MAF. Take it apart, clean the points with alcohol. Make sure not to get anything wet thats not supposed to be.

Peace

Next thing is timing and fuel pressure. Blip the throttle and watch how the fuel pressure reacts when it starts bogging. Make sure timing is cool. Did you ever change out the O2's?? That might end up being the problem. Might as well check everything

i didnt change the 02s yet, i sprayed carb cleaner all along the vacuum lines, no leak anywhere, so im lost, it will semi idle fine now, but when i rev it, the rpms will drop to 800 after, then 500 then back to 800 then 500 and back again, like it wants to die, it goes back and forth twice, and does sound like its runing rich, could it be the injectors are clogged?, ive tryed all kinda of fuel injector cleaner, i really dont wanna take it to a shop for an injector cleaning, cause its 150 bucks

sh*t, totally forgot about that. Yeah check the TPS. My cousin has had the same problem with his car for about a year now, but the car runs hard as f**k, so we didn't give it much tjought. I keep telling him to check the TPS, but I don't think he has yet.

A. The only reasons an engine will stall is something's up with air, fuel, or spark.

B. Take it back to the shop.
