Default Will they mellow out some?

Before I had my GT Take off duals installed, I was having a problem with a rattling noise in the dash? I questioned the forum as to what they knew about this and they (you guys) advised me that there was in fact, a TSB that was associated with the exhaust being loose or something. Anyways, I picked up my car and the rattle is like a freakin 100 times worse. I have already called my insider (play golf with the Service Manager) at the dealer, and I am supposed to take it in the morning. The question I have is the exhaust ever going to sound any deeper than it does right now? It sounds good sitting still and when I am driving slow, but if I get down on it , sounds like a ricer. Not what I envisioned when ordering the GT Take offs. Could in be the way my exhaust was put on? From my understanding he made the pass. side straight back and actually made the pipe to run off the pass. side to the drivers side.

They'll mellow some...I've got about 400 miles on my GT takeoffs now and they're starting to sound GREAT. I never completely disliked the sound, but they were somewhat disappointing at first. It now has a nice growl to it and a throatier noise than it did at first. Stay with it, you'll like them in the end.

I have had intermittent problems with vibration though..I've got a pretty strong one right around 1500 rpm that has shown up, but even it seems to be improving some as the pipes get more miles on them.

same here...when i first got mine they do have somewhat of a higher pitch to them at high rpm's but they do deff. mellow out and sound amazing. I know the vibration problem ur talkin about too...when sittin still sometimes i find my a** vibratiing like a massage chair lol! But i can live with that b/c of the awesome sound and performance.

Well I took my car to the dealer today and I will let everyone know the results of what they find. I'm glad to hear people say they will mellow out, because the reasone I got them in the first place was because I thought they would be less loud than the others.

They will not necessarily be quieter than they currently are, they'll just sound better. If anything, mine have gotten louder, but deeper and better sounding at the same time. Trust me, you'll like them after a few hundred more miles.
