Default First cylinder head finally off .... What do u think? (UPDATE-#4)

Finally got the first head off .......... man this is a pain in the a$$.

Pistons looks a little scorched.
Nothing to worry about?

looks like some detonation has happened....I could be wrong tho

There's a surprising lack of carbon on the pistons tops though. It does look like detonation has occured...Is there actual material missing from that third piston from the left, or is it just an illusion?

thats an illusion, it actaully has some carbon build-up on that one.

dont know whats up with thrid piston, looks like it has some electolysis build up on it.

should i clean it off?

Fair enough. To be clear, I've never torn into a car engine before...only countless motorcycle engines. If there is no material missing, I'd say those pistons look damn good...again, from the standpoint of a former bike mechanic.

ok there is material missing on third piston.

Is this bad? engine was running fine
