Hello everyone, havn't been on in a while. I finally got my stripes on the other day, I was going to do them myself, but was talked into letting the dealership do it. I'm not satisfied with the results. I bought 30 ft of stripe, which should have been plenty, but when I picked up the car they said there wasn't enough to go all the way down the bumpers. I believe they messed up some of it and threw it away. I only have about a foot left. The alignment on the spoiler is way off.[:@] I am not sure what to do about the situation, the guys at the shop have been really good about fixing anything else that I needed done, and I don't want to piss them off. I never actually measured the stripe to see if 30 ft was there, so don't know if they are telling the truth or not. Here are some pic's, It looks pretty good, just not perfect. I also wanted them to remove the third brake light and trim the stripe, then put the light back in, which they didn't do.

here is a close up of the stripes, I got the metallic black. I think this color looks great on top of the silver.

Aww, the spoiler stripes looked crooked. Easy fix for the rear bumper though... black out the trunk lid so it wont look so awkward.
Otherwise it looks pretty good. I'd give the dealership a big fat "C-" on their report card. Average work would be completed stripes with some crooked-ness. They didn't even go all the way down and left out your specifications for the 3rd brake light.

Hahaha, I'd hate to give them a spoiler to mount for me... they might stick it on the hood! [>:]

yea, I plan on replacing the right side stripe on the spoiler, I have enough left to do that. I also was thinking of the blackout for the trunk. I just need to look into the pricing and see if it would be cheaper to redo the stripe or buy the blackout. I don't know which would look better, the stripes all the way down or the blackout with the stripes continueing down??? I may wait till I get a body kit to continue the stripes since I will have to replace them anyway. Plan on getting the cervini elenore body kit sometime next year.

Is it just the perspective of the photo, or is the right stripe closer to the centerline of the car than the left? From the picture, it appears that the right stripe has more cut out for the 3rd brake light than the left.
If it's off, I'd ask them to fix it. I'd also measure how much stripe is installed on the car, and if it's less than 27 or 28 feet, I'd be asking what happened to the rest.
I just took some quick measurements on my car, and I can't see where you could have more than 20 or 21 feet of stripe on that car...
What you got looks good though! (from a distance, anyway ;))

I dont think youre alone feeling that dealerships do a bad job my local ford dealership contracts out the work and when I called them to see what they charge they said they had to stop doing stripes cuz they were to subjective and to many people were not happy and they ended up redoing to many of them. Good luck with what ever you decide

You want stripes? Get them painted. That usually gives a satisfying result.
I wonder how long the stickers keep looking good.
