Default JBA LT HEADER INSTALL HELP!!!

Hi guys. I have an 06 gt with tuned intake sct, flowmaster axleback, and full eleanor kit. I want to go with some lt headers and h pipe combo (the one thats common on ebay, and was thinking of doing the install myself, and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction, or even give me the location of header installation. Also, what might I expect out of my gt after header installation. It's an auto. Oh one more thing, after I refalshed for the tuned intake, it seems sort of sluggish if I don't push down the gas to much, but seems to perform great at wot. I got my setup from brenspeed, and here they have a good rep. Thanks ahead of time guys.

Default RE: JBA LT HEADER INSTALL HELP!!!

I'm currently looking at getting the JBA LT Headers and techs at the two shops I'm talking it over with said specifically that you need engine mounts (like the ones from Steeda) to move the motor slightly to get the LTH's in there. Now, I was getting an entire exhaust rework (JBA LTH, JBA X pipe and a Magnaflow CatBack) so that might have been part of the reason for that. Not sure if just the LTH are the cause, but it's something to look into before commiting the cash and the time.

You need to research the headers that you are planning on buying to see what else is required for their fitment.

I purchased the Dynatech kit and installed it myself. It does NOT require aftermarket motor mounts. Perhaps some other brands do...but the Dynatechs do not.

The header install is not difficult but it is time consuming. Mine took about 8 hours (including a lunch break), with air tools and jackstands.

Longtubes are worth about 20 (or more) HP.

As for your sluggishness, I would talk to your tuner (Whoever sold you the flash device) and see what they have to say. They can probably tweak the tune to eliminate that problem. You'll want to talk to them about your header upgrade anyway, so you can get your tune updated for that too.
