With the supercharger?  -- hard to tell, because I don't know the weight due to the body changes.  --  sure is nice though....have you seen the engine bay?

for some reason I can't post it....I'll see if I can post it in the photo gallery area...

The real concern of the 2005 Mustang is the damn price.  I hope they can pull it out, but isnt it supposed to cost bout $20k base model?

I don't know if the new one is DOHC or SOHC, assuming that it is SOHC, it could not be more powerful than the 03 cobra, maybe around the low 13's, or even the mid 12's. Who knows

Ford had a press release stating the engine will be 4.6L 3V SOHC. I am unsure about the hp though. At some point there is also supposed to be a 5.4L produced but I don't know if that will be only for special editions or if it will be a new cobra engine. They also stated the price would not change much from current prices... maybe 1-2K increase.

They won't produce a new cobra until 2006 either. It will remain with the same body style as current.

jugador, i would think the cost goes more into the design.... than the actual cost of the materials. got to pay those engineers.

I guess we'll just wait and see about the price cause it's not set in stone yet...I hope it'll be just as cheap!

stock...as opposed to factory modified?  lol.  you cant not get them stock.  and i will enjoy the surge because they will be cheaper!  Then maybe I could get a GT (its looking like V-6 is the only choice i have cause of insurance, but if the car is cheap who cares right?)

i'd eat the cost, and get the GT if affordable for you. if you can get the loan to buy a 30G car, might as well get it and just budget your $$ till insurance goes down for you.

its really to early to tell. rumors have it going the gt will be anywhere from 300-325hp. And supposedly the new mustang cobras will be 500hp costing anywhere from 35-45k. Like redline said, it aint written on stone yet. we just got to wait and see what comes about. if the GT will be 30k, then i doubt i can afford one. but i'll just wait a few months and maybe get a used one with barely any miles on it. it could easily be 5k less then a brand new one.

chrisle's got the right idea. they'd still be brand spanking new, there's always someone who gets rid of it quick. when i was srt-4 shopping, i found a black one for sale, guy took it home, 3 days later lost his job and had to sell, had like 300 miles on it. he wanted 18 for it i think. i've found 03 cobras for sale for under 30G's.
