it is based off the r35 that will hit cali shores in june of 06. everyone else gets it early 07. and anyone who has had the misfortune to line up next to a real r34 gt-r will get stomped if it is modded. with "only" 500 whp they can run 10s. i know, i've seen it

set up a fox body mustang with the right suspension and 500 hp and itll stomp that skyline. you can get hypothetical all day, but it proves nothing.

hate to say, but a 500whp skyline would beat a 500whp mustang

who says the mustang doesnt have a badass suspension and only weighs like 1500 lbs?

(for those who didn't notice, this is a satirical remark based on matthockey32's responses)

if i lived out in Cali, id have like a 20 car garage........'Stangs, SS's, Skylines, Supra's, everything thats FAST. 500whp skyline, 500whp 'Stang.........idk about that one.......depends whats done to suspension and weight wise.............'Stang might take it.......but, i think the Skyline would take it unless theres a CONSIDERABLE diff in weight. then, game on. id just like to ride in a modded Skyline thats pushin like 800hp. GT3 on ps2, mine was pushing 1099hp. those twin turbo's make a BIG diff. but, then again, slap 2 turbo's on a 'Stang and still got potential to take the skyline. all said and done, i honestly think the ONLY advantage the Skyline would have would be the AWD. other than that, hard to say who would win.

i doubt you could get a stang to weigh 1500lbs...a full drag race tube frame stang weighs around 2000lbs i think...but thats not the point. atleast you knew i was refering to power to weight ratio

fuel to the fire. skylines have stronger engines than almost anything else. 1000 hp on the stock block is kinda impressive.

A full race cro-moly tube frame will only be about 300-350lbs, that is just for the frame alone, a complete tube frame race car will be anywhere from 2000-2800lbs depending on drive train and some other varibles. So ya a Stang being 1500lbs would be darn near impossible. FWIW the real street Stang I work on is 3150 with a 210lb driver and 150lbs of ballest, so it is right around 2800lbs empty, and it is not a tube chassis car, but it is pretty much gutted.

a guy i know built a full tube frame f body...i think it weighed 2000lbs. hell, if he put a fiberglass shell on it, it would have been much less.

I agree completely. So what, a four banger beat a V-8. no big deal. Just because it's half of the engine compared to a GT or a cobra doesn't mean that it's goign to be slow. It's very impressive what can be done to the imports these days. I just hope that sometime soon Good 'ol american muscle will have as many decently priced mods.
But then again think, slap on a turbo or supercharger on a GT or Cobra, and put the srt-4 back on the line with it. i think i know which one will win. but i'm sure at that comment many people will have the come back of..."but it's a four banger, and the GT or Cobra is a V-8.

first off...there is alot more then just hp and torque that goes into the equation here....if you have a 500 RWHP stang and a 500 RWHP skyline, the skyline would win....guaranteed!!! reasons for....weight difference....aerodynamics....transmission AWD....I'm not positivie, but I believe the skyline is a bit more efficient than a mustang...

example....I used to drive a turbo eclipse...weighed more than an 89-93 mustang....but I would spank them stock to stock, and the mustangs have more HP than me and more Torque....1. I know how to drive. 2. front wheel drive transfers power to the wheels faster and more efficiently 3. my car was more aerodynamic.
