Kudos to Brenspeed.

I got my X-Cal 2 and loaded the 87 octane tune. Some of you may recall I modified a GT air intake and installed it on my car, but had to take off the lid due to CEL issues. I contacted Brenspeed and Brent assured me he could create a tune that would allow me to use my setup. I have to say he delivered. Got the X-Cal 2 and installed the 87 tune after re-installing the GT airbox lid. Performance (read throttle response) was improved at both higher and lower RPM's. Still had some slight lag at dead stop take offs though. E-mailed Brent, who initially said we may have to tweak somewhat to get it right, and made a slight change to the tune. Problem solved. No hesitation, and from a dead stop take off both tires break loose momentarily (I know, I know...it's a LSD... go figure) then the right one takes over for a short burn. If I hold the car with the brake...smile inducing results. Definite acceleration improvements at take off and at highway speeds as well as shifts (I have an auto). And the best part is (knock on wood) no CEL issues with my modified intake. I may try the 91 or 93 tune after this tank is gone just for sh*ts and giggles, but for now I'm !

Thanks again Brenspeed!

I've got nothing but respect for Brent. He certainly hooked my car up. I had mine custom tuned at Brenspeed on Monday, and haven't stopped smiling since.
