GT Take-Off Sway Bars

Quick question: I am going to get a set off take-off GT sway bars to stiffen up my suspension until I can install a full suspension kit next year. I don't have a rear bar and the take-offs don't come with the hardware to install them. Where can I get this hardware quickly and not too expensively? Also, what exactly do I need? I am also assuming that the hardware currently on the stock front sway bar will work for the GT bar.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Jim

Yes you will need the bolts, the brackets will come with the take-off. Get Grade 8 - don't go cheap because it will need to be rust resistant. Don't go to a dealer - it will cost you about $25. A good hardware store will cost about $10. Here's what you need:

Four (4) - 8 x 16 bolts, nuts and washers for the lower shock mount ends
Two (2) - 12 x 65 threaded end bolts, nuts and washers for the links

Blackfoot, you're correct for the front bolts since the car has front sway bars already; the GT front sway bar is much thicker than the V6 so the rubber isolator and brackets from the V6 sway bar cannot be used on the GT sway bar unless you cut into the V6 isolator and fit it over the GT sway bar (and that's still iffy because you'd have to "thin" out the isolator by the difference in sway bar thicknesses). But that's not necessary since the GT take-off bar will come with the isolator and bracket still factory fitted. Since the car has no rear sway bar you need the bolts which are not shipped with the rear sway bar purchase.
