so basicly feathering the clutch means that your letting out on the clutch a little but it's not acctually "Hooking up" meaning that your not all the way out? Someone correct me if I'm wrong

feathering will let you keep the rev's up until you hook up...I use drag radials I go thur the box but I do a kwik dry hop...after by kwik burn out...I don't do one of those smokey burnout to hard on tires and my equipment.. been pulling 1.62-1.67 60 fts.

No need to haze your clutch feathering unless you're pumping so much power you can't hook up otherwise.

What about when ever you rev the engine and let out on the clutch to you imediently let mash the gas or let it get done spinning the tires before hand?

I'm not asking the same question, after I dump the clutch the tires spin ok? when do I mash the gas?

feathering is keeping the clutch depressed so that you can rev the engine while in first, right? BTW this is my 100th post!

redline..congrats*L*
I think it was said in an earlier post and is right on...feather the clutch some...if you rev it up and dump it it will spin and if you let off it could break an axle..clutches are cheaper than good axle and dropping a driveshift that could go thur the the car or worse lauch you on your side or over.....it keeps you from bogging the car...get some drag radial with help or some dot et streets
or just rev it up to about 12-1400 and dumped it
