Alright please enough of the pole smokin'. Lets get back to cars and can we change the name of this thread to imports suck and start baching on them some. I think my points have all been proven and the facts have been presented. Now lets talk about how Toyota just recalled 400,000 something thoughsand more cars, hahaha, welcome to the industry America has to deal with. Incompetency from your workers, manufactuerers, and sub contractors for parts.

If we start talking about imports, I think Ford, Chevy, AND Chrysler better get it in gear. there's no way we should be letting them whoop up on us. They're putting our 300hp 6 cylinders and boosted 4cylinders. Our V8's are being mocked. The New Camaro and the Boss are going to be steps in the right direction.

Don't forget about the challeger which promises to be atleast 425hp. They are supposed to be light as well..

Yep, well, I'm glad Corvette has not relinquished it's crown. Have you heard about the Stingray coming back? It's supposed to be 600 horspower and stripped down to 2900 pounds. It's going after the Ford GT. I read it in the same magazine that mentioned the Boss 302.

Why would the Stingray Vette go after the Ford GT when the current C6 ZO6 already beats the Ford GT in nearly every category, except price ofcourse. No the stingray is coming out to offset the new Mclaren tuned Viper and to start beating up on some of the more exotic cars like Ferrari's, Lambos and such. I know the current ZO6 already beats most of them also, but i think they are trying to make an absolute dominator and make people pay some money for it. Nobody that buys a Ferrari would ever look at a Vette, unless there an enthusiast. But a $100,000+ Vette will get more notice and be much more rare than the already rare C6 ZO6.

stock regular camaro VS. stock WS6= drivers race.

I believe that there is a sticky in this section on this very subject, but some people still don't get it. LS1 = LS1 = LS1 = LS1

Are you guys sure that there is no WS6 that comes starting at 365hp?

Only what the GM marketing gurus wanted you to believe there was...

Yes, we are sure. LS1 = LS1 = LS1 = LS1 = LS1. It doesn't matter if it comes in a Camaro, Trans Am, GTO, Corvette, whatever. GM marketing executives (NOT engineers) gave them different horsepower ratings based on the sticker price. My car is rated at 310 hp, yet has the same motor rated at 350 hp in the GTO and Corvette. On an engine dyno they would put down similar numbers, although the Corvette manifolds may be a tad bit better. But not 40 hp better.
As for the 4.10 gears, I think that they could get me about 3 tenths faster than my current 2.73's. Add drag radials and long tube emissions-free headers, neither of which I had on my 13.34 run, and high 12's shouldn't be a problem. Gas prices, however, are a problem.

This guy I ran upon was definately not stock. You got to understand, I have a friend at work with an SS that has 406RWHP. I race him every chance I get. That thing is insane. HE even says when I get my cams, I'll be right there with him. In fact, after he drove my car, he got an 06 Stang. That will tell you what the new stangs are about. My other co-worker's 04 Cobra has 414 RWHP and we went from a 20mph roll yesterday in second and he had me by 3 cars by the time we was at 100. No LS1 is going to do that with minor mod's, I'm sorry.

My LS1 when it was bolt-on/50rwhp shot would have murdered your car...I'd call those minor mods. Hell, my buddy had a stock converter, street tires, LT's w/x-pipe, 125 wet shot and was going 7.3x's @ 95'ish mph. You just haven't ran up on someone that knows how to A: drive, or B: knows what they're doing when modding the car.

Good luck on that.

Most people wouldn't consider an aftermarket power adder "minor." In fact, it's one of the most major mods you can do, along with a turbocharger, blower, or heads and cam package. Nitrous is relatively inexpensive, though.

Hell, knowing what I know now, I could pick up things seperately and piece a whole kit together for less than a good catback setup. You can even buy pre assembled kits for less than a lot of good catback setups. Like I said, as long as the LS1 guy isn't scared of nitrous, then the power issue is handled against a new Cobra.

I went 12.50 @ 110 when my car only had a lid, cat back, MAF, drag radials and control arms. I would call that minor mods. You have been running into stock cars or ones with just a cat back or somthing. Sorry but I don't think you have a 12.5 in your car as it sits.

I just picked up a bottle, two Super Power Shot N20 solenoids, braided lines, bottle pressure gauge, WOT switch, fuel pressure switch, arming switch, NX Shark nozzle, and other various wires and stuff that I can't idenitfy (nitrous noob) for $200. All used, of course. I just need some jets and a window switch (probably buy it from the same guy for $50) and I think I'm good to go.

Jets are usually $10-$15 and a window switch just depends on which one you buy. I think I got mine for $150 and it was one of the best ones you can get, you can actually dial it in to certain rpm's with no pills and it has a first gear lockout.

Nitrous is a super cheap way to go fast. LS1's with dry kits are fast. LS1's with wet kits are insane.

Is it an MSD window switch? It comes highly reccommended.
I don't plan on going higher than 125 hp, so dry it is.
