no... the friend I had... he put down a 13.89 or a 13.9x something like that... they were on street nitto tires I remember that... but he had a lot of suspension work and was putting down the same amt of rwhp a stock gt, I think he dyno'ed at like 225 or something like that... with the gearing... not sure what "type" of dyno - i just remember him calling me all pumped about it, he showed me the ticket and our strip only gives you your timeslip not what you ran against... I am really not trying to get into a debate about this, because most of it is second hand info. I don't know why he would try to lie about something like that to me.. and i was there when he did beat stock new edge gt's with his car... his was quick, but if the gt had anything done to it - he was a goner. lol

and i really hope your LS1 can break into the 13's... thats just my opinion.

edit: but now that i think about it... I dont know how he could've dyno'ed that high with his mods... He was probably around 200 to the wheel... ehh i really don't know, i just know i saw the slip from the qtr.. and he unless he stole it from someone it was his.

Alright so I havent posted my races in a while. But I have had alot in the past year. I will just post two of them, they are the most recent. Ok so the first one there was a kid that is a friend of a friend either way straight to the point, he has a 1990 Mark VII LSC with a 5.0 full exhaust, Racing automatic transmission with 2200 stall conv. and a 80w coil and CAI, he was trying to tell me how he so commonly beats Mustangs and yes he tells me he beats 99-04 GT's So he walks up to my SWEET looking car which looks like a Mach 1 and a GT mix just plain nice IMO and he says smells like a 4.6 I agreed and offered to race him. We raced several times all along with me beating him by 4-5 cars approx. yes I dominated him from both a roll and a dig. Then when we got back to my house I decided to let him know that it WASNT a GT and it is just a 3.8 V6 with minimal mods being GT take off exhaust, Short throw, CAI, and a tuner. He couldnt believe it. ONTO MY NEXT AND SWEETER RACE.

So this time it wasnt a set up race and it was well there is a GT and I am gonna mess with him. So anyways it was a 94-95 GTS so it was a lighter GT with the same drivetrain. Anyways I was antaganizing him and he decided to drop it and get the run on me so I drop it "mind you he got the run on me" and I stop him in his tracks then I shift into 4th and I pull tight to his rear bumper and had to let off to keep from rear ending him. So then we continue to play. All in all from a roll I beat him with his front bumper being at my rear and from a dig up to 60 I beat him with his front bumper being at the middle of my pass door. Then we pulled over and talked. I was like nice car what all do you have done and he asked me what year mine was and I said 2000 then he says o so you have the good 4.6 and I said ummmm what all do you have done and he tells me he has full exhaust being long tubes and flows. Also he has CAI and a short throw shifter YES IT WAS A MANUAL. then I decided to tell him that mine was just a 3.8 V6 he wouldnt believe me but then he eventually did. I had the same mods during this race as what I stated above.

YES!!! Slow mustangs of the world unite!

You guys talking sh*t about the 3.8/3.9 obviously don't realize how close in power they are to the 94-98 GTs.

And another thing, TorchV6 has never given anyone a reason not to believe him when it comes to kill stories. That's okay though, I heard the same sh*t when I beat 2 sn95 GTs.

Close in hp, far from close in torque.

And you say a manual 3.8 v6? does mid 15's??? with a 190hp and 22ftbs of torque. Id have to say on a really good day high 15's!

My Dad pulled a 15.6 in my car (no spare, nothing in car but seats and Dad) street tires... completely stock. I can't drive like he can though, and I'd be lucky to pull a 15.9

See, 04 V6 proved me right, the 99-04 V6s stock with a good driver are only good for mid to high 15s, the 95 and under GTs can easily hit the low 15s with half ass drivers, and can nail high 14s all day long.

So with respect to horsepower, an intake, full exhaust, and a chip will eliminate the gap between a V6 and a V8? That's crazy.

Depends on the V6. I know in the S197 V6's... you only have to do a handfull of things to be able to run with those old Non pi's.. not much more to hang with the new edges....in my 05 I beat an auto nonpi, stayed with an older 5.0 until he hit top end where he just walked away, and I raced a new edge auto that I was door to door with until I left 2nd gear, then I got left and just shut down... I had just an intake and xcal2 tune... ask scrming.. hes putting down 13.1's last i knew in his...

No, got me there... They were stock auto verts, but Torch has more mods than I do. I have none.

It also comes down the the driver. I beat a '95 Cobra with a driver that couldn't shift to save his life. He missed 2nd, grinded 3rd, and peeled out for a bout a second and a half. I should have been destroyed, but a kill is a kill.

holy crap...what do you have in your car that makes the most power??!!!!

I know I'm adding my 2 cents way after the start of this thread but if that 3.8 with those mods runs better than a 16.0 I'd be shocked.
