You saying that you beat a GT is good for a laugh but to go even further by saying a GTS which is lighter than its GT couterpart is even better. I own a V6 and a GTS and I know which one I will take out for a race and it isnt the V6. However my V6 did just land a photo shoot in Mustang Enthusiast. V6's are show ponies and GT's are go Ponies.

My 6 banger is no show pony, definitely more about go!

Pictures don't do Scrmings car justice! Seeing it in real life is a pretty amazing. Definitely one of the nicest stangs I have seen. If you ever get the chance to hit one of the car shows or tracks John frequents, I highly reccomend you check it out.

He's only running the blower, he took the nitrous out. Though his old engine is awaiting build up. LOL.

LOL!!!! As Rygen mentioned the Zex is long gone! The Mrs. made if very very clear... pop another motor and i would be "booted to the curb!" LOL! So that being said... Pulled the Zex, added the Vortech with a very very conservative tune! The Mistress is not as quick as with the Zex... but she is very consistent and runs 13.4's... that was at Norwalk a couple of weeks ago.. on a VERY HOT DAY! LOL! Looking forward to the fall and some cooler weather! And of course next spring should be very interesting! LOL!

Have put Lidio behind the wheel at the track yet... so the 13.4 is with a 325 pound driver! LOL! Actually the Drag Radials make me a Lidio about even when it comes to driving... LOL! That guy can squeeze more out of street tires than anyone I know!!!!! LOL! I'll make him get behind the wheel this fall... I'm guessing The Mistress should go 13.1 to 13.2...

Scrming and Rygen... holy sh*t! Nice cars!

The V6 Mustangs are good performance platforms, especially the 4.0, but DON'T count out the 3.8. I've seen cars just like mine tear up the track.

It's going to take a lot of time, money, and much more knowledge, but my car WILL be in the 13s before I get rid of her. I keep changing my mind though. Last week it was all about turbo, but this week I'm thinking I may get it blown. It will all happen in the next year, so I need to come up with a decision fast. I'm thinking about 10 psi, 100 shot, 4.3 stroker.

Thanks!!!!! Too bad at the last minute, we couldn't get a pic of us runing on the track. Someone from the other side came in and scrwed up the order. LOL.

And yes, the 3.8/3.9 are pretty stout motors and take well to turbos. There is a twin turbo 3.8 in my area that is kick ass.

Yep, i agree.. ther are some killer 3.8's out there! I think what makes the 4.0L stand out a bit more is how quickly the performance mods were there and the nice gains you can get with just minor bolt-ons... No one believed me that you can get 10RWHP just by ditching the stock muffler!!! Then Justin at VMP proved it on the dyno and everyone was like "huh, 10RWHP just by swapping mufflers.. " LOL!

I'm being very honest when I say, I did not buy my car for performance, I bought it for it's looks! I had a 02 GT Vert... It was fast and fun... but it never hit me like The Mistress has! The performance came due to the fact I became addicted to modding literally over night! LOL!

he won't post because of 1 of 3 reasons.

1) GT fanboy. he's never ran his car, but he thinks he can't be beat cause it's a v8.
2) he's mad cause you and scrming are faster.
3) he's just a BEEYOTCH

hmm let me try to take his foot out of his mouth for you guys...

STOCK V6 Mustangs = slow lol... There are some v6's out there that will whoop some arse...

There are some guys that will never give any car the credit due. I had a 05' V6 previous to my 04' GT, and that thing was stout. With just a CAI and Xcal2 tune, I was keeping up with stock new edges... Anything can be made quick (hence the video everyone has seen of the minivan smoking a viper). I am going to give anyone props that has a built up car thats done it right. That's like someone in a civic that was talking trash to me a while back with exhaust, saying he would whoop me because of the weight. This thread is old and dead...

scrming you blew an engine eh?? and people are asking me why im not running nitrous, hehh... Procharger eventually, but i wanna stay away from nitrous... maybe a 75 shot :)

I would learn to respect some of the 4 bangers out there, especially the sti's. With thier AWD, from a dig they run mid to low 13's (I know, I've run against them at the track). Did you know the block on the SVO can take 400rwhp before needing build up. Light car, kick ass and its a stang. Theres always someone faster, and its also about what you put in it.
