Default Help! Blown fuse!

I just blew the fuse for my pony fog lights. No clue why, they just blew. I've used them alot since I installed them last winter. It was one of West Coast Perf's kits before they went belly up. It uses a 15 amp in-line fuse. If anyone has access to a service manual, what amp fuse does the factory setup use? Two 12 volt fog lights seems like they would take a 20 amp fuse to me. Any help would be appreciated.

Most fuses have the amperage rating printed right on 'em... should be able to just take it out and find an equivalent...

if they rec'd a 15 iw ould use a 15, if you use a 20a, you may end up blowing your lights

check all your connections. make sure they are ok also if it is the cheepo glas fuse in the plastic holder they get pretty hot. o would switch to the flat stle holder. also make sur you have a good ground. i remember someone else having probs with that kit.

Thanks for the tip on the flat fuse holder. I'd still like to hear what the factory fuse size is for the pony fogs if anyone has a service manual. Thanks.

Thanks Afixer! That's awesome. Once again you folks are a great resource. Looks like a 15 amp is what's called for. But I'll take your suggestion and replace the cheapy glass tube in plastic for the flat fuse holder. I checked the whole system for loose wires and everything looks o.k. I think the tube type just overheated because the translucent white fuse holder looks like it got cooked brown at one end.
