I am in the market for a set of 17" Black Bullit style wheels. Just wanted to see what sizes I should be looking for for the front and back. Also, what size tires look best with this setup?

Any websites have good deals on the set? Thanks

I don't have bullits, but my wheels are 17x9 with 255/50-17's front and rear. No problem, no rubbing.

I may sound crazy, but why not buy the set of gray 17" Bullit take-offs from http://www.saleen.com/ (look under Monthly Specials)? The price is great ($425 + shipping), includes the tires, and you can paint the centers yourself for dirt cheap (or have a shop spray them for you). You could even do a custom color if you wanted. Just one man's crazy idea...

425 for brand new wheels and tires is a damn good deal from saleen. They are some good folks down there and that would be the best way to go.

I too, will probably be buying the Saleen take-offs for $425. I'm looking to mount a set of snow/all-season tires, and the gray Bullits are close to what I have now. I will get more mileage from my current P-Zeros by rotating in a set of snow tires, and I will keep the tires from Saleen for my Polished rims when the current set is worn out.

If I were to paint them, what exactly would I use so the paint would not chip?

Also what offsets fit the front and back of the 2005 v6?
Thanks

That's not a part you'd want to paint yourself. Your ONLY choice for a tough, long lasting finish would be to pay a professional to strip and powdercoat the wheels.

If you have about $1000, I can have them chromed in any color/gloss level you want except yellow, white or orange. Mine are bronze chrome. This is the same process that GM and chrysler use on their black chrome ram and G6 wheels.

Wait a minute, I'm new at this shopping-for-mods thing and don't have good perspective on real-world prices yet, but is that really $425 for all 4? Seriously?

Yes. And shipping. For me in Pa. they quoted me $580 delivered. All 4 wheels and 4 Pirelli tires. The tires alone are $135 in my area (for a total of $570 for tires alone once tax is included in my area), so you basicallly get the wheels for free.

My take offs from Saleen were $585 (425 plus 160 shipping)

Put them on and have had no issues whatsoever..... and now I have a backup (winter?) set of tires and wheels !!
