It depends, of course, on the width of the wheel. There's a guy in the 4.6L sub-forum that's running 315's on 17x10-1/2 inch deep dish bullitts (on the rear). I'm not sure but I think you can safely go up to 265 on stock bullitts.

Not entirely sure myself, but I'm playing it safe with 255/45s. I've seen up to 275s on the stock 17"s though.

Sadly there aren't any 17" x 10 1/2" Deep Dish Bullits that I know of. 18x10 are what I'm familiar with.

It's recommended that 255 is as large as you go on a 17x8" wheel.

255's to my knowlege on the stock 17inch bullit wheel. My rims are 17x9's all the way around, I run 255/50/17 up front, and 275/50/17 in the back. However, I think I could have gone 285 on my 9in wide rims.

Are the bullits and the alloy 17" wheels the same? 17x9?

I'd love to go wider in the back!

Here is what 255/45/17 looked like on our car. Couple of shots before and after lowering with same tires on stock wheels. 05SDI
