dear people, ive joind this forum in the vain hope that some1 might be able 2 help me with the tuneing of a customers stang. As i live in england and my customer lives in the usa(florida) u can imangine the trouble im having in finding perfomance parts and as for the language barrier.......u have no idea! some basics about the car: 1999 mustang 3.8 V6. 5 speed manual.quoted milage 132k.regular serviceing is carried out at customers fave workshop and the all round condition of the car is described as exelent. so.........after some descussion with the customer and a stang tuner who'm i now cant get hold of,it has been decided that forced induction via supercharging is the best route to go down. being from england,i only realy work on atmo cars and the odd turbo car,so going the s/c direction is something new for me. my/the customers goal is for the car to have 275 - 300bhp and retain most of its ability as a daily drive, the car will not be used for drag or street raceing...........the customer just wants a little more GO. what i require is a list of parts, technical info ect.........i am a qualified auto engineer, trained by mercedes who works on exotic mid 80's-early 90's rally cars and brittish classic cars,ie restoration and tuning for road/race/rally,so i will understand any info given. i will be in the usa next spring 2 work on this car,if the build is succsesful i will more than likely have a job at a tuning workshop in florida if this ventue is succesful. if u have any queiries about brittish/european cars,i am more than willing 2 divulge any information reqired. safe motoring, Darrell ps.....please feel free 2 email me at the yahoo address give on my user page.
