Is it just me or do all stangs get really crappy gas milage. I only get around 12 mpg city. Is it just my driving, or is it just how they are. The spec's say like 16 of 17 mpg.

I figured out that for the most part I get 11.69 mpg, but I also sit in bumper to bumper traffic everyday coming home from work.

i commute 100MI round trip a day for work. 5MI is surface roads and rest is freeway. set cruise and forget it i can get 20-22 on a realy good day. around town it takes a dump on mileage.my dad borrowed it once for a trip to seattle and got 24MPG. i've never been able to duplicate it.

If you drive it like an old lady she'll get a lot better gas mileage. I took my '95 GT for a 1000 mile ride and got over 26 mpg, didn't stand on it once though.
Hasn't happened to me since mind you.

Yea, I drive real conservative and relaxed (like an old lady) most of the time and I get around 20 overall. My friend had a 90 and he got horrible milage too. He never wanted to come see me at school cuase it would cost him so much in gas. His used about twice the gas as mine.

it's that big heavy right foot u got. bet you wear the hell out of your tires too! lighten up a little and the mileage will get better, but if you have to race it from stoplight to stoplight all the time, you're stuck with what you got! bet you got a 5 speed too!

I got 17.9 mph around town without exhaust. With exhaust, just under 20mpg. I just got the car (95 GT) a couple weeks ago, i was pleasantly surprised by that.

I can say i get great mpg. around town it is about 16 on 87oct, and 18 on 89oct. on the freeway on my way up north I got 24-27 mpg. Stock gears thought for a 93 GT. I was surprised to get that great compared to my friends 92 LX stock.
