I think is the old one, because in Afixer's (I think is the name) picture of the new one there are some little clips with a hole at the ends (retaining clips I guess) in the hole where the join is.... I think.

I think. You are correct... on the old one the u-joints are staked in, while on the new ones they are clipped in... The problem is you can actually get the stakes to bend back over allowing the u-joint caps to start working their way out!
