No Saleen logo anywhere. Plate holder and a plastic bag. Yep that is what I received, but the box it came in had the Saleen logo on it!

Sorry for the slight hijack, but I thought you might be interested in this one. A week ago last Sunday, there was a large car show in Minier, Illinois (about 200 cars). Following the end of the show, the Illinois State Police set up checkpoints on the two roads leading out of town. They ticketed all cars without front plates. How's that for good use of our crimestoppers!

Man I'm glad I live in Indiana. No offense, but that just reeks of "daily driver" and not specialty car

I think you could make it look a lot better with a frame around the plate to reduce the actual size of the plate showing in the front. A black boarder or silver stainless one on your car would make the plate look smaller and not stick out as much. I need to make a nice plate board at work since I have access to a CNC laser to put on my back plate to shrink the plate's appearance. I was pulled over the other day for no front plate and a slight bit of speeding. I didn't get a speeding ticket but I did get a citation for the front plate. I am debating if I should just pay the 95 dollar ticket and go on, since this is the only time in 4 years to get a front plate citation. I think the cop was pushed over the edge with the front plate missing because I only accelerated fast to a bit over 30 in a 25 mph zone.

Pay the ticket, mine in MD. was $45 for no plate and speeding close to a toll area...that was last June and needless to say haven't been down that area since (just in case)

I 2nd the notion of the the front plate sucking wind, but some would rather be legal than mess with tickets. I guess it's up to the individual. I myself would not mind paying a 100 ticket, oh say once a year to keep that plate off the bumper. I may be a bit lucky. I live in Southern NJ which requires a front and rear plate, but there are so many PA drivers around (only rear required), that it's not a sore thumb to see a car go by w/o a front plate. So far so good...

I have heard about some people mounting their front license plates in between the opening in the lower part of the front fascia. I also was pulled over recently, and due to a local courts incompetence, found out my license was suspended. (Almost went to jail, guess I should have made sure they did their job...long story, but im pissed! I had to beg...:( For now I just fastened mine onto the grille, but tomorrow I plan on finding a way to mount it in that space. I've thought that maybe it might limit the air flow to the radiater, etc. But there are other front fascias with no openings like the Saleen. (Roush) Has anyone considered mounting it there? Or done it? I just want to avoid drilling into the fascia like that. I tried positioning the license plate yesterday, and it was clearly visible, you just have to make sure to locate it as far in the front as possible. BTW, I have a 2005, not sure if other models are similar. Any ideas?
