Why did You not get a GT instead.

Just wondering why people here bought the V6 instead, my reason is b/c of it being cheaper.

For about the same money, I considered a GT coupe instead of a 4.0L V6 ragtop. I had to go topless, so it wasn't much of a decision for me. ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS!!!

would've cost me 3x as much for a GT than my V6.

When I bought mine in 12/04 GT were very hard to find but I am enjoying the V6 and the insurance would have cost me about 400.00 more a year.

I'm 19 and have a clean license other then one speeding ticket and our family insurance (Allstate) quoted me 9k a year for the family. That was all my parents needed to hear to give me the dreaded, your not getting the GT.

insurance...and b/c at 3 bucks a gallon the GT isnt very nice on ur pocket

I was 18 when I bought my first car (which is this mustang) and pushing $1K a month income. I paid $462.64/month for the car and $266/month for insurance. I was quoted over $4000 a year for insurance coverage if I had a Mustang GT. Of course, now I can afford a GT.. but I'd probably be flipped over dead in a ditch if I bought one.

I've had the plan all along of this car getting me through 2 more years of college and 3 years of law school. After that once im out in the working world hopefully it will be a GT or a GT500 for me, but for now I love my v6.
