You'll need the hardware for the rear sway bar. Hopefully they came with the bushings. You can get the hardware from your Ford dealer for an arm and a leg (seriously, like $70 for 6 bolts and nuts). Rear swat bar really stiffens up cornering.

Moss Mustang has the bushings. Ford has the bolts.
Make darn sure the brackets come with the rear GT take-off sway.
$44-$50 for 6 bolts and 6 nuts.
The part #s are here:
http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=65&viewfile=Stabilizer%20Bar.pdf
You want bushings for the 20mm GT rear sway bar.

thanks guys. damn....seems like the additional hardware parts will come out to cost more than the actual sway bars!

But well worth it.
Here is what should come with the rear sway PLUS
the end brackets that are not shown in the pic.
Coupes and Verts use different rear sways, so buyer beware.

No idea of the price.
Its a Ford item.
You can print the service manual page with
the brackets on it and take it in with you.

best I've come up with is $13.12 (each i'm sure) from here.

send me a PM and I can give you the rest of the info on how to find that. I've ordered from these guys several times, and their prices are fair, and shipping is for the most part quick.

i figure they will but i'm having trouble finding all the parts i need. i've found the brackets, i think, but no luck with the bolts. i'll keep looking but i will still ask the stealership how much they charge.

* also, is the front gt sway a direct swap with the stock sixer sway? same mounting hardware will work? thanks.

i installed the rear gt sway bar this weekend. i ended up going to the hardware store to buy the bolts, $20 total. i found the sizes that matched the ford bolts, 12X65 and 10x30, and i also used metric grade 10.9 bolts just like our stangs use. i wanted to hold off to install since i want to replace the stock rubber bushings with polyurethane bushings from MossMustang but I'll be up in the santa barbara area next weekend so i'll get them when i'm there and i was too anxious to find out how a rear sway feels. as for the rear sway alone, very nice. very noticeable difference and it really feels like the car grabs the road much better on cornering. i now know whay so many rave about upgraded sway bars. i highly recommend them for those who have added power to their stangs and want better control of it. i really look forward to change out the bushings and replace the front sway with the gt front sway that i also have.

hey, did you also replace the rear bar link bushings also? i was gonna get the poly bushings from mossmustang but i see that they only have the large ones that the brackets fit over. will these four be fine for both the front and rear? thanks.

i took a lil 40 min trip up to moss mustang this morning to get the poly bushings for my front and rear gt sway bars. i had only been running with the rear sway with stock bushings until today. rear poly bushings, made by Prothane, come with the two large bushings that go with the brackets and the smaller bushings that go with the bar links ($25). The front set only consists of two bushings that go with the brackets ($7).

i didnt have any ramps on hand so i just used some wood i had lying around to take the place of ramps. it gave me about 4 inches extra room to work which was barely enough. ramps would have made it much easier. the stock bushings came off easy except for the smaller bar link bushings which were a pain in the a$$ to remove. putting the poly bushings on was easier than removing the stock bushings.

i had noticed a very obvious difference when i had only the rear sway on with stock bushings so i was curious what difference i might feel with poly bushings + the front GT sway. i drove around a business park near my house and took the turns with a little speed. AWESOME!!..... i was definitely able to feel an even bigger difference with the full setup compared to just the rear. it felt like i was the only one leaning while cornering. it just feels so much more solid and precise. i will make clear that the diff from zero rear sway to gt rear sway was still bigger than GT rear sway to F/R gt sways with poly bushings but a very nice difference was felt nontheless. i highly recommend poly bushings for those with f/r sways. thanks 157db for convincing me to get em .
