Default '05, '06 Specs & Nitrous Doubts...?

Hello Gentlemen, i have a few doubts onto what differences there are between the '05 and '06 models, specifically the ECM and Fuel Systs.
I just installed a NOS nitrous 4 & 6 cil. WET universal system on a '06 pony, i had a few minor details i quickly solved like the micro switch placement (under the pedal since there is no throttle bracket), gas selenoid's line location and no fuel pressure sensor since the kit didn't include and i figured the fuel system's got enough punch for the 75hp wet shot.
Now, the questions about my doubts:
When i asked the owner if he had a chip on this '06 he said he didn't, he had a modded '05 that he totaled and changed everything to the current '06. So he told me the '05 used to have a chip but couldn't fit it in the '06 ECM because they were "different", he also mentioned that the '05 had a single gas tank and pump and that the '06 has twin tanks and pumps.

Now im suspiciuos if this is true, i don't wanna damage his motor and get burned as i distribute and install Holley Performance products for a living but im not very familiar with the new 3 valve mod motors. Another detail that made me think twice is that he's also friends with the guy that sells, installs and refills nitrous systems in a city near by and didn't go to him to get it done.

Any help, suggestions and advise on what to check before i actually try it out will be truely apreeciated!

Thanks before hand, Rudy Gonzalez.

Ps. Hope you all understand the position i'm in and how embarrasing and costly this would get if my suspiciuons proved to be right.

Default RE: '05, '06 Specs & Nitrous Doubts...?

The only '05+ Mustang to come with dual pumps from the factory is the GT500, all 6cyl and GT's have the same fuel pump assembly. All '05+ Mustangs use the same SINGLE fuel tank, there isn't two fuel doors on the car so there isn't twin tanks. There is a transfer line inside the tank to transfer fuel from one side of the tank to the other but this is the same on all S197s.

The calibration codes are different from '05 to '06 and that would be why he couldn't use his tuner for the '05 on the '06.

My question is why not start with a kit that is specifically designed for '05+ Mustangs?

Default RE: '05, '06 Specs & Nitrous Doubts...?

Thanks for you answer, yes i gave it some thought last nite and it's probably right that he doesnt know much about his vehicule. I also just saw one single pump. The engine has cams, throttle body and open exhaust and sounds very strong so it made me wonder if it had a "chip" or in this case an altered tune. I recomended him an specific system but he didnt wanna pay that much. Think im goin to check everything and try to get even smaller jets than the 40hp it has right now or simply install one gas jet that's 2 or 3 sizes bigger and then read the spark plugs just to be on the safe side. Thanks Again.
