Default 1994 Mustang GT Coupe

Hello,

I am new and I am considering buying a white 1994 Mustang GT Coupe wiith 100,000 m,iles on the car. Its in good shape, has cloth seats and is an auto. He is asking $4000 for it. I really don't know a lot about these cars. how long are the 5.0's good for? From what i hear, parts are easy to find and the engine is easy to work on. These may seem stupid, but again i am new. But is that a good price because i looked how much it was worth on Kelly Blue Book and it was like $3400, but when i look on autotrader.com, people are asking more than $3400!!! So should I snatch this?

I think 4000 dollars sounds reasonable, as long as the car is in great condition. About the mileage I would not worry about it too much. I have 107,000 on mine and she is still running like a champ.
Easy to mod and some parts are cheap. Try lowering the price if you can. Good luck.

The life on the car really depends on the owner. I've seen some 5.0's crapping out around 75K miles (No TLC or attention from the owner) and others at 175K+ and still going (actually paying attention and maintaining the car well). There is really no way to tell unless you REALLY look the car over for imperfections. I agree with badtzmaru. If its in good condition, thats a nice deal. Mine has 130K and its never let me down once.

$4k for a 94 auto isnt too horrible. See if you can bring him down to more or less $3,500. That would be great. But no, $4K isnt bad to the highest degree.

Edit: If you'v shopped around and this IS what you want. Go for it. There is just more to a "great deal" than what you can see. Make sure everything is mechanically good.
