a hennessey viper would POWN a saleen mustang almost no matter what..... those things will destroy almost any street car

the viper has a lack of suspension so on an track i could see the Saleen extreame winning.

^ i disagree, hennesseys ahve a good setup as far as suspension. the only thing keeping the viper back is traction... the saleen might go through the corners faster but the hennessey would catch up and pass it on every straight

If your talking Viper vs Saleen Extreme straight up I think it would be close as for the Z06 assuming all stock,

But the question was Hennessy Viper vs A Saleen Mustang--(You did not say n/a, s/c or extemere) but it does not matter all would lose, what do those vipers have 600?700? more hp??

You can get Hennessey Vipers with twin turbos and 1000hp.They run 9s in the 1/4 and top out at over 220mph,so needless to say it wouldn't even be a race at all.A stock Viper against a S 281E would be a better race.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, probably the Viper. The S7 has the h0tness for downforce though, so it would rape shop in the turns. Supposedly the S7 creates so much downforce that at 135mph you could theoretically drive upside down, like on the top of a tunnel!

Oh, just checked Hennessey's webpage, the S7 actually pulls better stats than the majority, if not all, of the Hennessey Viper's stats. It appears the new S7 is much faster!

yup. and id rather have the Hennessey......unless its a Lingenfelter C5 Z06 with the Z51 package........theres a vid on the internet with some BOY in an awd eclipse talkin sh*t to one. its freekin great.

I read that article too. The Hennesy was the top dog, followed closely by the ling Vette. They also had a Livernois Mustang but had some defects during the testing if I remember correctly.
