Default Is this engine problems?

Just a general question on any type of car really but i was wondering nonetheless. When i went to add oil to my car today i opened the oil cap and noticed that there was some smoke coming out. Clear mainly but i still thought it was smoke. This is after driving the car easy for 7 miles (20 minutes). I understand the engine is going to be warmed up and hot as hell but i was just wondering if this smoke was "normal"???? If this is in fact not normal; what would be the cause of this, and what do i have to do to fix it???
