Yours is better. Right now my major is Aerospace Engineering but I am thinking about switching to Automotive Engineering. IDK yet.
im mechanical engr which is very very close to AE course-wise, but im working as a manufacturing engineer. either way, its ME lol. either way you go, youll be an AE lol. on a serious note, my school don offer automotive engineering, which i'd love to get involved in (i would jump on board to minor in that soooooo fast), but i can do some automotive application and formula SAE i guess.

Same month, same weather. She ran 14's and mid 13's on the same night. The only variable was how hard she nailed the throttle on the launch. On one run she spun so badly that she almost went into the wall. I heard the announcer call the near-miss as I was rolling down the return road ahead of her. The 13.36 had come earlier that night. She was inconsistent, but when she did manage a decent launch that car would move out pretty well for a 2.73-geared automatic stocker. It's all in the driving. With someone other than Stevie Wonder at the controls, an LS2 GTO will run deeeep 13's. 13 flat I would say.

Yes, yes, I agree. GM has some highway monsters, but I love 1/4 mile races. It requires skillz. You can make so much of a difference in the 60 foot and surprise many of the cars that are supposed to smoke us. The GTO and several others that are mentioned in comparison to the 05-07 stang cannot take us lightly. I taught that lesson at the track for my first time in May. I out ran an 05 GTO several tenths of a second(He wasnt hooking like I was). My partner at work beat a Camaro SS by about a car or so with his stang. I went 4-1 against him. Basically, what i'm saying is if one lines up against me, he or she better be ready to run em.

There is a guy that I run into on my way to work sometimes. He's had the 6.0 GTO for probably as long as I have had mine (Sept 05). The car is black with illegal black tint and he drives with the dealer paper plates still on his car. Also one of those driver with the windows down just enough to tell there is someone in there but you can't see him. Every time he goes by me (in stop and go traffic) he either revs at me or goes slow till right next to me, creates a gap then launches himself as if to say he's super fast and I'd never keep up with him (all while I am stuck in traffic in my lane).
Some day I'll take this guy! Just don't want to fall flat on my face and look like and idiot trying to do it.

Sounds like a punk-ass sissy. I had a guy in an LS1 GTO (slower than the LS2 in your example) do the same thing to me. When traffic did clear a bit, he didn't want none. But when I was stuck, he was Billy Badass, revving and flooring it past me. If you do manage to drop the hammer on this guy, it should be a fairly respectable race.

Thanks for the ego boost TommyV8! I did think that this guy was quite a poser. He's done that same thing to me 2 times in traffic. Then, this morning, I was stopped first at a light. He comes up to my right, I am fiddling with something when the light goes green so I don't even see him. Then he floors it and I hear him take off, look up, notice it is that guy in the GTO and he's flying away at about 80 mph in a 40 zone. 1st thing, there is no way I'm going to risk getting a racing ticket in a 40 zone. So I don't even try to catch up. Then when I do get close after he slows for another light, I veer left to go my nornal course and he's still revving and posing. I really shouldn't even give this dude any attention, let alone waste any energy even thinking about it....he's just a dork who should be put in his place and wouldn't it be good if that person happened to be A GIRL!! Ha ha ha!

He said he was pushing 490 rwhp... I think with his times he struggled with his launch. I have 480 rwhp with new MT radial slicks and got a jump on him every time. He was alot of fun to race and with a good launch he definatly would be there at the end.

In my g/f's first outing with her '01 Z28, she didn't make it into the 13's. 14's all night. Does that mean that LS1 Camaros are 14 second cars? Uhhhh no.

Oh yeah I almost forgot... sleeper you mentioned your dealing with a GTO too. Fat Nick did have valid points in that looonngg write up of his.
Have seen a 05 goat at the track, not sure of his mods though. Was running 13.3's in the quarter. I ran my first goat (04) last weekend. I had about 2 cars from a 5mph roll to 70mph.

I've driven both ls2 gtos and the new gts but The gto is faster stock vs stock. I'm a chevy fan and before buying my cobra i tested drive the ls2 gto, sti and cobra. Even though I work for a Pontiac dealer I took the cobra. It was a hard decision since the cobra had 8,000 miles and the gto brand new. I like the interior of the gto better than the cobra and the front lights as well but I love the back of the cobra cuz it's wider. One of my co-wokers bought a gto with a cai and slp lm and we raced from 60 mph roll I smoked him bad with just magnaflow exhaust no cai , no pulley.
