Never had this "beautiful option" before and don't want to damage anything. If one were to go on the track, would this be kept on or off? Straight-line acceleration I don't think I'll need it, but on a road course that would be fine.

I say of as well PERMANENTLY. I recommend a module that will keep the traction control in what ever position you want it. As it stands now, the "default" option is ON. Every time you start the car, it will go on no matter what you had it set at when you last turned of the ignition.

Two companies make them as far as I know:

http://www.ponyexpressperformance.com/tractioncontrol.html $52.95 (includes shipping)

I can't find the other one right now.

Takes an hour to install and worth it.

Peace out.

It depends if you are going for low et or are bracket racing. Keep it on in bracket for consistency. Keep it off for low et.

For me the traction control button is part of the 4 step process every time I get in the car. 1) Fire it up, 2) Buckle up, 3) Turn off the TC and 4) check mirrors and drive :D
