From a roll you are going to eat him. If he manages to pull off one of those redline RPM launches without dropping his transmission (not a good chance of that trust me) he might keep up with you for awhile.

Anything at or over 100 MPH and it will be a joke. Although they had a good final speed, it took forever to get there.

My family has owned 4 of these cars. A TSI (turbo AWD), two non turbo 2,0s, and a automatic 1.8L The transmissions are not that strong, and they are pretty slow compared to a stock mustang. The AWD TSI (ours anyway) was incapable of breaking into the 15s.

The TSI as in the Eagle Talons. Nice little cars. I know a few kids with them who did things like upgraded turbos and such. Anyways, Thanks for the reply.

The TSI is exactly the same as the GSX. Performance wise anyway.

The Talon/Laser/eclipse were identical. don't believe the fools that say the eclipse engine was better etc.

We had 2 talons, and 2 lasers. My laser had a 2.0 swapped from an eclipse after an blown engine. There was no difference.

I am unsure of the model change years but the GSX should perform almost identically with my brothers TSI.

DSM (Diamond Star Motors) made the engines for these cars hence why everyone calls them "DSMs".

But yes you should win.

AWD DSM's can break into the 14's stock with a good driver. But with your mods, I would think you could beat him.

Tell him to do a redline drop....... Its cool to watch at least. And if he dosent break anything he will probibly get you off the line. GIT-R-DONE
